The Truth

"Jessie! Cheer!" yells my mom from the kitchen. I jump off my bed practically letting my computer crash to the floor. Just in time, I caught it. I rushed to get my cheer clothes on. I was fixing my mini skirt and shirt when I heard a honk outside my window. I quickly applied gloss on my lips. I made a messy ponytail and ran towards the door.
"Wow. Jess, you look good." said Maddie from inside her car. She drives me to cheer, since we ARE friends.
"Nice sarcasm. I don't believe it though. Now drive!" I yell the last sentence so we wouldn't be late. Maddie snapped out of her thoughts and drove.

MADDISON:
O.M.G.! How am I supposed to compete with her? Look at her! She is stunning! Any guy will fall with her! I just have to bring down her self esteem somehow. But how? Jessie is a short, cute, glamorous girl! How does she not see that? I would have wanted to be her height. So when I kiss a guy, I have to get on my toes. I always thought that was romantic. Back to my thoughts. Colton... Blue eyes, dirty brown hair, tall... My head is about to explode. I need to stop.

These words keep swirling in my head. Who do I believe? I have known Tessa for a long time, she lies a lot but I don't know Maddie from deep down inside. I am SO confused. I guess is should stick to Jake more often. He would always be there for me, why not now? He would do anything for me. I should get a hold of myself. I should be the one to control myself. I'll see how far it goes. If all goes well, I would be happy, right?
"Jess. You can get out now." Says Maddie from the driver's seat.
"Right. Thanks for the ride. See you later!" I yell while getting out of the car.
