Rainy Days Need Blue Eyes

~Freaking heck this took so long please enjoy.~

The noirette stared in shock and silence his heart shattered. Tears and rain staining the poor guys clothes. His girlfriend well now Ex Girlfriend's words echo repeatedly in his mind. He could barely remember what she looked like, all he can remember is her final words. 

"Ness we need to break up... I just don't think your my type anymore. I'm sorry but we're done don't call." 

"What why?!  What did I do wrong Paula?" 

"Nothing I just don't have feelings for you like you do for me. I'm sorry but it's over."

She had turned heel and left . The clouds darkened and soon the first of the storm had sounded  Ness was left all alone. 

He stares at the sky tears in his eyes before burying his face in his arm and knees "but I loved you Paula...." Light pads and splashes someone is running "Ness!?" He lifts his head his eyes meeting with soft baby blue eyes. "Oh hey Lucas..." he mumbles tiredly. The blonde frowns "Hey Ness.... what are you doing out here, are you okay?" 

The older boy turns away sadly his eyes welling up with tears once more.  "No... I'm not okay... I don't think I ever will be....." Lucas sighs "Please don't say that..." The small blond leans over Ness holding the umbrella over him "What happened?" he asks softly

Ness sighs loudly "She left me Luke saying she lost feelings and that I wasn't her type anymore."

The smaller of the two frowned "I'm sorry..." Ness waves him off "don't be its not your fault."

A sad awkward silence overtakes them the soft splashing of rain drowning out any other sound.

After a good few seconds the blonde shifts "do you maybe... wanna come over and watch some movies?"  Ness stares at his best friend for a bit thinking his expression unreadable.

Lucas kicks the ground nervously waiting for his response. "Yeah... that would be nice..."      Lucas holds out his hand which Ness takes and pulls himself up "C'mon lets go home and get you nice and warm. You shouldn't sit out in the rain you know you could get really sick." Lucas chided playfully

Ness let out a weak chuckle "yeah I know..." he looked at the blonde noticing he was struggling to hold the umbrella over Ness.  "Do you want me to hold it Lucas?" Lucas flushes embarrassed "ah... yeah sorry you're just too tall now dude..." Ness gently takes the umbrella his hand brushing past Lucas' hand their cheeks lighting up and fading.

The lock eyes staring at each other, blue staring into purple and purple staring into blue. Rain drops drowning out all sound once more, creating a quiet calm atmosphere. Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter, goes the rain. 

Ness cracks a smile when his best friend starts blushing a light pink. Grabbing his other hand gently the purple eyed boy holds his hand dragging him along "come on let's get out of this rain." Lucas smiles softly "yeah..."  They walk back to Lucas' apartment in silence, a comfortable silence. 

When they arrives Ness closed the umbrella while waiting for Lucas to open the door.  Once inside Lucas turns on the lights before shoving Ness into the bathroom. "Go shower before you get sick I'll dry your clothes and get you my pajamas that are way to big for me." Ness smiled "alright." he takes off his clothes grimacing at them sticking to his body because of how wet the rain made him. "gross... heh." he gently places the clothes outside of the door before heading to the shower stepping in and turning it on.
