IV

My phone buzzed. I grabbed it quickly, hoping it was finally Luke. But it still wasn't. It was just my mom. I sighed and didn't even open the message. I laid back down on my window couch and started reading my book again. I'm on page 146 of The Fault in Our Stars. 

My mom isn't home and I've literally been home for three hours by myself. I finished the chapter I was on and closed the book. I grabbed my phone and saw that I got a text from an unknown number. I guess I was so into my book that I didn't even realize my phone went off. 

I unlocked my phone to read the message. 

Hey Naomi! It's Calum.. Sorry it took two days to text you, it's just Luke has been having a really hard time and doesn't even want to pick up his phone. Do you mind if I stop by your house so we can talk? Well, text back when you can! Ttyl.

I was kinda upset that he waited two days to text me, but he finally did and it made me so happy. I texted him back, giving him my address and told him to come over whenever. 

Ten minutes later the door bell rang and I ran downstairs to get it. I looked through the peep hole, making sure that it was Calum before I opened the door. I twisted the knob and played it cool.

"Hey Naomi!" He leaned in for a hug. "Hey Calum! Come on in." We hugged then he walked in. I closed the door behind us and lead him into the living room. "Would you like anything to drink?" He nodded, "Water would be great, thanks!" I nodded and walked into the kitchen, getting both of us water. 

"So, what's going on with Luke?" Cal shrugged his shoulders. "We don't know. He won't talk to anymore of us. We haven't heard his voice in about a week, and we need to get him fixed because we have a tour coming up and if he doesn't start talking, we're going to have to cancel."

I sighed, "So, you want me to try and cheer him up?" 

"Yes, please! Do anything! I'm begging you!" 

I smiled, "Alright, take me to him."

He was shocked. "Seriously? It was that easy?" I laughed. "Yup, take me to him. I'll do everything I can."

He nodded and we walked out to his car. Once we got to their house, he got out and opened the door for me. I took his hand and he helped me out, closing the door behind me. "Thank you Cal." I smiled, and he smiled back, also giving me a nod. 

"He's upstairs, follow me." I did as told, and followed him up the stairs. He knocked on a bedroom door. Luke's, I'm guessing. calum opened the door and we both walked in. 

I saw Luke laying on his bed, pillow case wet, not budging. "Hey Luke.. This is Naomi. I brought her here to cheer you up. She's great." I smiled, hearing Calum say that. even though he probably only said it because he was talking to Luke.

"Hi Luke.. Will you talk to me?" He didn't budge.. "Calum, would you mind leaving me alone with Luke?" He nodded, "If you need anything, I'll be downstairs. I nodded and Calum walked out, leaving me and Luke alone.
