One would have thought, looking in at the current scene that Raizon and Arianna Delacourde starve their kids of daily meals. The entire family minus the subject at hand were all muffling laughter and highly amused by the hurried eating and constant checking of the time by Lucifer. It all started when he did his early morning training more aggressively than other days, hurriedly took his shower and became Speedy Gonzalez in the kitchen while helping his mother. His anxious behavior all came down to one person, Amara Jackson.

"As I was saying..." Raizon said louder but trying his hardest to be the stern father he had to be. "The drug we confiscated from the runners is a mixture of high concentrates of different drugs. Prescription and street drugs. Cocaine and heroin were mixed with diazepam, alprazolam, pramipexole, and doxazosin. The latter are all drugs used for anxiety and mental disorders. Mixed with the high strains of coke and heroin, the results are random which can lead to bodily harm not only to the user's self but to others around them and also death."

"Hence the dubbed name, Dice," Eros commented. Lucifer finally came up from inhaling his breakfast and was ready to leave for school. Though the unorthodox breakfast conversation was a normal occurrence within the household and important, the older Delacourde wanted to leave immediately. He couldn't wait any longer. All night he was arguing with himself of what Amara's answer is going to be. Silently he was bracing himself for rejection, his Ami was a practical woman. She will neatly state the pros and cons of moving further in their friendship and the result in it all. His status in the public's eye may be a con but he's hoping the pros will win. The need to be around her was strong, an invisible tug was pulling him to her direction.

He needed her. He needed to see her smile. See her light brown eyes brighten when she spots him from a distance. He just wanted to be in her presence.

Listening to his father on what he needed to do today, he realized the man was prolonging the conversation on purpose. Putting his full attention back to the present, he realized everyone was watching him intently with amused filled eyes. "Really, father?" he huffed, trying to hide his heated cheeks as he got to his feet.
"I was simply confirming my suspicions. This girl has gotten you by the heartstrings. Dangerous position to be in. I don't think it's wise for you to pursue this girl. She's already distracting you with this important ongoing investigation. I will have to pull you from that school," Raizon said. His face expressionless as he spoke, the room was silent but Lucifer had a feeling that they can hear his breaking at that moment. He was torn between upholding his family's business and pursuing a relationship with someone he couldn't live without. There was no doubt in the love he had for his family and all that they stand for but to lose Amara.

One look at his face and his father knew his son was now and currently will be in the same position he was in. Lucifer truly found his soulmate. The kid was in this for the long haul.

"WHAT! No! No! Please father.... no. I-I-I.... mama please don't let him do this. I-I-I- will pay attention more. I'm sorry, father. Don't make me forget about her. I just found her. Please."

What was to be a simple joke on their lovesick son turned into a serious situation. Raizon glanced his wife's way when Lucifer went to his knees, head lowered and began to apologize hastily in French. He believed he ashamed the seal by not giving his all in last night's mission. The twins and Rejeanne never saw their older brother this way. Eros was confused by his brother's devotion to Amara after such a short time. He wondered if it was the popular proclaimed 'love at first sight' thing going on between the two.

"Kids! Why don't you get ready to leave. Luke? Luke, baby?" Arianna said aloud before rushing to her son's side. Raizon was already on the floor holding his son protectively, apologizing to him about the cruel joke. His wife lovingly kissed their son's head whispering her own apology. Lucifer sank into his parents' hold oblivious to his siblings worried stares from the doorway. Ares tugged at Rejeanne's hand, not wanting her to see their older brother that way. "Luke was crying. Luke never cries," the little girl stated.
