A New World: Book 1- Water

Chapter 1: Blackout

Who knew it was so hard to come up with characters for my story? I only had three characters written down. Ugh! Maybe music would help. I put in my headphones and My Chemical Romance blared in my ears. I loved bands like Pierce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, All Time Low, My Chemical Romance, Of Mice & Men, and more.

Thankfully, I was alone in my house because my parents had to take my brother to the doctor after he threw up after being put to bed. I can't write if people are constantly distracting me.

It was pretty late, but it somehow felt warm in my room, so I changed from my jeans to my P.E. shorts, and I removed my sweater but left on my Pierce The Veil shirt. Suddenly, the lights flickered and died. I groaned. I hated blackouts. I walked downstairs to get a flashlight, but by the time I reached the kitchen, the power came back.

"That's weird," I thought to myself. When we get power outages in San Diego, they always last a few hours.

I walked back upstairs, and sat on my red covers to continue writing. Five minutes later, the power died again.

"Are you kidding me?!" I yelled at the ceiling. I heard something behind me, and I whipped around.

"Water... Earth... Fire... Air..." I heard Katara, from Avatar: The Last Airbender, say. My TV was playing A:TLA on Netflix. How was that even possible? How could Avatar: The Last Airbender be playing by itself without power?

Then, darkness surrounded me.

~A/N~ Hi, I'm Brenda. I started writing this about 3 hours ago but Wattpad was being a jerk and kept erasing my story and I had to keep rewriting it. I don't know if this will upload or not but yea. Um... What else... Oh I'm sorry it's short but it's just the introduction. I'll try to make the next chapter longer. I'm sorry if I don't update very often but sometimes I get caught up in volleyball and/ or school so yea. Also, this story will follow the original storyline closely. Please leave me feedback and share it with other people. Oh, and if you love bands too, inbox me!
