"'Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."

— Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Dear Kim Seokjin,

A week passed by in exhilaration.

You made every day worth living, you are the light in my life.

There's this Harry Potter quote, by Albus Dumbledore.

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

You turned on the light for me.

Well, today was my doctor's appointment, the one that Jungkookie was talking about.

When I arrived at the hospital with my eomma, all the staff that knew me, personally or around, gave me a large smile. One person even said, "Congratulations!"

When I got into Dr. Jeon's office, waiting patiently at the bed for him, my eomma sitting on the chair provided, I asked my eomma, "Eomma, do you know what this 'good news' is?"

Eomma smiled at me. "Jisoo-ah, whatever it is, I hope it benefits you."

I smiled back at my mother, about to say something, when Dr. Jeon walked in. He was wearing a smile, much like Jungkook's, the one that makes him look like a bunny, and when he saw me, his smile widened.

"Jisoo," he said, "we have great news for you."

Eomma and I raised our eyebrows as we waited for the news that would change my life forever.

Dr. Jeon took a deep breath, his gaze fixated on me adoringly.

"Jisoo, being your cardiologist has been great and I have come to love you as a daughter, but I'm afraid you won't be seeing me as much anymore."

"Huh?" I asked, confused. Why would that be a good thing?

"We found you a heart donor, Jisoo."

Love,
