Adelaide's pov

"W-What is he doing here?" I asked slightly shaking.

"What do you mean sweetheart? Its Frances remember?" my father replied happily. Frances. That right his full name was Frances. that's why his name sounded familiar.

"Addie?" he said softly.

"You don't get to call me that anymore. I-I can't be here right now." I said running out of the house. As I ran through the empty street with tears running down my face, I decided to call the first person that I could think of. pulling my phone out of my pocket, I typed his number into my phone and he replied by the second ring.

"Hey!" he replied. I couldn't answer. I didn't know how to feel, I just kept running.

"Adelaide?" he continued.

"Simon..." I said my voice cracking as I said his name. I didn't want him to know that I was crying but I couldn't hold it in any longer and soon enough, I broke into a quiet sob.

"Where are you?" he said. Sounded angry and to be honest, I was kind of scared.

"Where. Are. You?" he said again.

"A-At the park..." I said. I wanted to stop crying but I couldn't. Over the past few weeks that I have been going to school, Frances and his 'friends' have brought me so much pain that I could't stop the tears from pouring out of my eyes.

"Wait there. Don't move." And that was all he said before he hung up so decided to sit at the closest bench I could see and I pulled my knees up to my chest and I continued to cry. I know that was starting to sound like a baby but I couldn't help it. I just couldn't believe that the Francy that I used to know turned into a complete monster. Five minutes later, I saw Simons car pulled up into the parking lot in the corner of my eye. I wanted to go up to him and tell him that I was sorry for bothering him but I couldn't move so I stayed put and rested my head on my knees embarrassed to let him see me like this.

"Hey." he said softly not wanting to scare me away. I didn't answer.

"What happened?" He wants to help. I reminded myself so I slowly lifted my face to look at him. I must look terrible but he continued to look at me with his sweet eyes. I knew that I had feelings for him but I couldn't tell him that.

"Have I told you about Francy?" I asked him with a small sigh. I continued when he shook his head no.

"When I was around four or five, I used to live in Dallas and every day after school, I would go over to my best friend's house and his name was Francy but I had to move one day because of my dad's business. So we moved to Canada to start a new life. But I didn't know that we were coming back so we left with my friend Gracie who's at UOD. When I got home today, my mom told me that Francy was coming over and I was so excited but then..." I stopped not wanting to rethink that scene.

"Frances was there..." I said looking down at my feet.

"Frances used to be the sweetest, most amazing boy out there. we would pick flowers together and he would get embarrassed so easily but... he's changed." I said. Simon looked at me softly and wrapped his arms around me, giving me a comforting hug.

"Forget about him." He said quietly.

"What?" Why would he say that? It's not like I'm never gonna see him again. I have to live knowing the fact that my bully was my best friend.

"Forget about him. I won't let him bother you anymore." he repeated. As I put my head in the crook of his neck, he continued.

"Since we're here, I uhm just wanted to say that I've always had feelings for you..." I froze. I couldn't believe it. I looked up at him and I could feel the heat rising to my face.

"R-really?" I said turning away from him.

"Yeah, but you don't have to answer because I know you don't feel the same way about me." He said giving me a sad smile, I laughed. I laughed so hard that my stomach had started to cramp.

"Why are you laughing?" he said sadly.

"Are you kidding me?! I've liked you since the first day of school. I made it super obvious too." I said as I continued to laugh. Simon looked at me in disbelief and picked me up hugging me tighter than before.

"You make me so happy" he said his face inching towards mine.

"I promise I won't let Frances bother you ever again."

I smiled.

"So will you be my girlfriend?" he said nervously putting me down on the ground.

"Lemme think about it." I said jokingly. Simon looks shocked. I broke into a sneaky smile and jumped on him.

"Of course" I said whispering in his ear. His face automatically lit up and we continued on with our night. Together.
