𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍. "Y/n..." And then I felt his lips on mine. The kiss lasted about two seconds before I pulled back, my heart racing. Finn turned away, his cheeks rapidly reddening. A small smiled formed on my face. "Finn?" I bit my lip, hesitating for just a moment, before I leaned forward and placed a quick kiss on his cheek. His eyes widened, a cute little smile spreading across his face.
I leaned my head against his shoulder, turning my face to look up at the sky slowly fading to night above us. One singular star laid in solitary but it seemed to shine almost like a spotlight in the moment above our heads. A strange feeling fluttered in my chest. The past few years of my life hadn't exactly been great ones, but here I was, a rising actress, sitting on a ferris wheel under the stars with Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard. And he'd just kissed me.
In my peripheral vision, I noticed as Finn titled his head to stare at me. I dragged my eyes up to meet his, a small smile on my face. The lights from the fair were reflecting off his eyes and the wind was gently blowing against his hair, causing it to wave. I chuckled. "You're pretty too." He blushed yet again, making his freckles ten times more noticeable. "What? No I'm not." I scoffed, gently hitting his arm. "What do you mean? Yes yo-"
The moment was cut off as the ride jolted to a stop, leaving us stranded at the top. The bench rocked. I let out a little shriek, sitting up and grabbing Finns arm. He chuckled, placing his hand on top of my wrist. "You're fine!" He leaned over, peering over the edge of the bench. "Look, you can see the whole park!"
I slowly leaned over, looking at the ground. My breath hitched in my throat the second I saw the ground far below. I took a deep breath and glanced around, taking in the scene. Finn was right, you could see the whole park; you could see almost all of Vancouver. My eyes locked on two people sitting on a bench by the base of the ferris wheel. I pointed, turning to Finn. "Hey look, it's Iris and Noah!"
Finn looked down at them, chuckling. He turned back to me, his eyes staring me down. "See, it's not so bad, is it?" I paused, thinking for a moment, gently biting my lip. A smile creeped across my face. "No, it's not." Finn smiled in satisfaction, turning back to face the park. "Told you."
The bench lurched as the wheel began to turn again. I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the fear rising in my stomach. After a few more pauses as we got closer and closer to the ground, we finally reached the base of the ride. I quickly lifted the bar confining me to the seat, jumping off and sighing in relief at the feeling of solid ground beneath my feet. Finn chuckled, following after me. "I thought you said it wasn't that bad?"
