I WAS LAYING on my back, my face turned upwards, watching the sky and waiting for stars to appear. My nose was starting to sting from the cold. I had no idea what temperature it was and wanted to check, but Finn had made us put our phones away and turn off our flashlights because 'it would ruin our nightvision.'

A shiver racked through my body and I pulled my coat tighter around my shoulders. I felt Finns breath billow against my neck as he turned to face me. "You cold?"

"A bit." I rubbed my arms, attempting to create some sort of friction. A moment later, I felt shuffling beside me as Finn grabbed a spare blanket and wrapped it around both of our shoulders, making us sit just close enough that our arms bumped.

"Better?" I nodded, turning my face back to the sky. I could tell I'd started blushing, I just hoped the fact that my cheeks had already been red due to the cold was hiding it.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Finn was staring at me, and I turned my head to face him again, raising my eyebrows. "What?" A grin threatened the corners of his mouth, and he let out a gentle chuckle. "Nothing! It's just... you're blushing."

I scrunched my nose, elbowing him. "Shut up." "Its cause you like me," he teased, elbowing me back. I huffed, my breath billowing in front of my face. "Tell me something I don't know."

Finn leaned his head back, thinking. "Okay... well, did you know that every time you lick a stamp, you consume a tenth of a calorie?" I giggled. "I was kidding!" Narrowing my eyes, I added, "Why do you know that?"

He chuckled, taking a moment to glance at the stars. "You'd be surprised." I adjusted my body to face his, my elbows propped against my knees. "Okay then mr. smarty pants, did you know... if you count the number of cricket chirps in fifteen seconds and add that to thirty seven, the total will be almost exactly the current temperature in farenheit?"

Finn shifted his body to face mine, then glanced away almost as if he was hiding his face, before looking back up and laughing. I giggled, raising my brows. "What?" He smiled, still chuckling. "Its just... that is the most random thing you could've said."

I shrugged, looking out across the valley. "But its kinda cool, right?" He pulled the blanket back over his shoulders, scanning his eyes over our surroundings. "Sure."

I huffed, turning back to face him. The stars reflected in his dark eyes and I immediately felt them pulling me in, and I had to fight against the urge to just stare. At that moment, I made the split decision to rest my head against his shoulder.
