Remus had a migraine, everything hurt, even his own thinking. He didn't know for how long he was here but he was hoping someone would find them soon. He already checked all of the walls, there wasn't any way of escaping here.

Of course he was scared, this man only kept him and his brother here because their parents were rich, so he was hoping on a ransom. Remus knew one thing sure, Roman was already being tortured to put pressure on their parents, it was heartbreaking to hear his brother scream while Remus could do nothing to save him.

Now, when Remus was awake again, he heard Roman scream again. "Please no!" His brother screamed, Remus swallowed once, trying to fight the tears. "Silence Sanders! I'm only doing this so you're parents will pay faster!" That was the guy that trapped them.

If Remus could get out of here, he couldn't give the police a description of this man, since he has never seen his face clear, that kept bothering Remus every second that he was here. "AAAAAH FUCK!" Roman screamed and Remus jumped up. "Roman!" He screamed in response, Remus never heard Roman scream the hard.

"I said silence! Once I'm done with you I'll move on to your brother." The man said and Remus shivered, he knew this day would come, but it felt too soon. "You'll. Leave. Remus. Alone." Roman screamed, you could easily hear the hurt in his voice.

Remus' pain and headache got to worse to deal with, so he fell asleep only because of the pain.

"Hey Rem, it's me, Roman." A way too familiar voice said, Remus opened his eyes to see his brother hanging over him, he was badly injured and was still bleeding from one eye and definitely needed medical treatment but he still was there, ready to save his brother. "Roman!" Remus screamed out in joy and hugged his brother.

"You need to get medical treatment! And what are you doing here?! And... and..." Roman had to hush Remus otherwise he would've talked further. "Sssst, I'm going to get us out of here but you need to be quiet." Remus nodded in a response, getting up. "Let's get the hell out of here." He said.

Remus followed Roman through the building, scared that behind every corner their kidnapper would be, but never seeing him. They eventually found a mobile phone but there was no signal there so they couldn't call 911, but they took it with them in case the phone picked up a signal.

Once they found the front door, Roman opened it and they both sighed. Remus didn't knew what they expected, but the house standing in the middle of a forest wasn't quite what they hoped for. Roman looked at Remus with a determined look in his eyes. "Ready Rem?" He asked, Remus nodded in a response. "Definitely Ro, let's go."

According to the phone, it was 2:23 A.M. and the only light in the forest was coming from the moon, they were too scared to use the flashlight on the phone, scared that the phone will die or that the man would spot them.

When they were walking for at least two hours, still no signs of live except from some night animals, they decided to stop for ten minutes and then start walking again, they didn't talk the whole time and Remus decided it was time to ask his brother some questions about his well-being.

"Roman... what did he even do to you?" Remus asked, he didn't know if he was ready for the answer. "That isn't important, did he hurt you?" Roman sighed. "No, I only got really bad headaches, he probably put something in the food." Remus said and shifted on the ground. "But I wanna help you Ro, please say something."

"It doesn't matter, the only thing that matters right now is that we will get home safe. That you get home safe." Roman said and Remus had to blink a few times to get his tears away. "You will get home safe, I promise it, even if I have to die for it Remus. You will get there. Now go and sleep, we'll walk further in the morning, I'll take the first shift, I'll wake you up in two and a half hour."

Roman never woke Remus up for the second shift, Remus was glad he got a lot of sleep, but he also was concerned about his brother, Roman said he was fine but Remus didn't really believe him one hundred percent. They started walking again and didn't talked much. After some time they found a small road, they decided that they both would walk one way for five minutes and then walk back to each other.

Remus started walking and he was scared, it was scary to walk in a unknown forest alone while a man who wants to hurt you could be right behind you. He eventually forgot about the time and just kept walking, until he heard his brother scream.

Remus ran back faster than he had ever run, slowing down when he saw the back of their kidnapper. "I said get down! If you'll get down I won't shoot!" He shouted, Remus never disarmed someone so there was one thing he could think of. Remus picked up the largest rock he could find and knocked it on their kidnapper's head.

The man fell on the ground, he definitely was unconscious. Roman stood there, mouth open in a surprise. "Remus..." Roman managed to bring out, Remus pulled him in a hug. "Remus!" Roman suddenly screamed and pushed his brother to the ground, Remus couldn't see what happened but he heard a gunshot.

"What a luck that there are two of you." The man said. "I can miss one." Remus quickly stood up and saw that the man had shot his brother. Completely blinded of his anger, Remus managed to steal the gun from the man and shoot him. Remus dropped the gun, still in shock about what he just did. He killed someone.

Remus then turned back to his brother, seeing that Roman had dropped to the ground and he was holding his stomach. "Roman..." Remus whispered and started crying.

He suddenly remembered the phone, he checked it and saw that the phone had picked a signal, he didn't knew for how long but he felt guilty for not checking it earlier. Remus dialed as quick as he could 911 and explained to the woman who he was, she immediately knew who he was and they would try to track down the location of the two brothers. This all happened while Remus tried to stop the bleeding coming from Roman's stomach.

"You'll be fine! I promise!" Remus said, putting pressure on the wound. Roman coughed and put his hand on Remus arm. "No! No! No! Save your energy!" Remus said and he pulled of his shirt, pressing it to Roman's stomach. "Remus it's alright, you can stop trying." Roman said and Remus started to cry more. "I can't just leave you to die like this Ro." Remus said and whipped away some tears with his other hand, Roman patted next to him on the ground. "Come sit."

"I told you once... that I wasn't afraid of death, that I was ready." Roman said and shook his head. "I'm not." He said under his breath. "I'm scared now, Remus. I don't wanna die." Remus didn't know how to answer, he was still denying the fact that his brother was going to die, protecting him. "But I'm glad I saved you Rem, you need to tell everyone what happened, go and live a normal life further from here, but for me it ends here, even if I'm scared I have to face the truth."

"Roman no..." Remus mumbled, he heard the sirens of police cars and ambulances in the distance. "Look they're coming! You'll be fine!" Remus said and Roman nodded, giving his brother false hope. "Yeah."

Remus eventually passed out from the stress and the exhaustion, before the police and doctors found them, he would be fine. But his brother? He wasn't so lucky sad enough. But still, thechance was small, but Roman might survive it.
