32 | D A I S Y

I have no idea where to find Zack and talk to him. I promised to attend Catherine's wedding but I disappeared after the argument with my parents. We still haven't spoken and I don't plan on doing that. Zack probably went to collect me before the wedding but I wasn't there. I felt guilty for breaking my promise. And we don't even have a class together today.

As I walk down the school corridor, I notice a lot of people staring at me. They had an amused expression on their faces even though they try to hide it when I walk pass them.

"Why the fuck are you staring at me?" I angrily asked a group of girls who were gaping at me.

They immediately looked away as if ashamed at being caught.

"Daisy, you need to see this!" Peyton said breathlessly as soon as she approached me, handing me a paper.

"What is it?" I asked confusedly as I took the paper. My eyes went wide when I saw what was in it. Boldly written was 'Daisy Coleman is three months pregnant with Zack Alan Hudson's baby'. What a way of letting the skeleton out of the closet.

"Who gave this to you?"

Peyton said nothing in response. Instead, her eyes stared past me as if indicating the answer. I turned back and then, finally realised what was going on. There were lots of copies pasted to almost every single locker. The students gathered around, each one of them staring at their own copy. Some of them were gazing at me with so much surprise in their expressions that I had to look away.

"Who the heck did this?" I spun back to Peyton.

"I have no idea who..." She started to say.

"I did." A well too familiar feminine voice cut in.

It was Naomi, standing right behind me with Vanessa. They both have a satisfactory smirk on their faces. It was obvious they are responsible of exposing my secret. I should have warned myself they wouldn't give up easily.

"Your secret is out now. You should have known I would surrender. I always finish what I started." She raised her head proudly, probably on cloud nine.

I've never met someone so stupid and childish than her. I can't believe we're fighting about a guy I've never met before. "Well, that's very childish of you." I said with a raised brow.

"Exactly what you did. It was very dumb of you to fight me physically. I think you started this all. First, the cheating scandal and second, the fight. Who knows what you'll do next." Naomi spat out as if I just committed the most notorious crime.

"Technically, they'll not believe you guys until I prove it to them," I said.

Naomi rolled her eyes. "Are you blind? Why don't you see for yourself?"

I looked around with a bored face and scanned the crowd. Instead of reading their expressions, I searched for Zack but came up with nothing. I shrugged and looked back at the two witches.

My reaction seemed to surprise. They were apparently expecting me to react violently. That showed clearly on Vanessa's face. "Everyone knows you're pregnant, Candy. You're screwed!" She almost screamed, trying to talk some sense into me.

"So?" It was my turn to smirk and fold my arms. "Thank you so much for assisting me to inform the world about my baby. You guys made it a lot more easier for me. My family and friends already know and I don't really care about the world. But, never mind." I shrugged like I don't care. I actually don't give a fuck. Sooner or later, they would have find out.

"Bitch!" I heard Naomi muttered before she sauntered away. Vanessa glared at me before she went after her friend. I wave at them happily when they turn to give me a final glare.

"They're as dumb as a bag of hammers I swear." Peyton whispered as we watch them disappear.

The only thing that remains disturbing was how they found out. I trust all my friends and I know none of them will betray me. My parents wouldn't go around informing them about the pregnancy. Unless...

"But who do you think revealed this secret?" Peyton asked, a deep frown marred to her forehead.

"Let's not talk about this now. We have a class to attend."

The geography teacher slipped my test script on my desk, pulling me back to the class after I almost lost myself to the swirl of thoughts. I pulled myself together and looked up. Mr Brayden was staring down at me with a huge smile which was really weird because he has never done that before. He nodded his head towards the test we took in his last class, as if telling me to have a look.

I pick up the paper and glance at the score. I got an A which I never do. The inside of me almost burst with relief and delight.

"Daisy Coleman, this is a very exceptional result, I must say. I'm seeing a very different you which is better. Keep it up, well done!" He complimented, grabbing attention from some of the students.

I gave him a small smile before he moves on to the next student. My eyes remain glued to the test script. Not to brag but I've seen a lot of improvement in my studies. I'm very determined when it comes to something I want to achieve. I'm definitely on my way to the top.

Just then, the secretary to the principal appeared at the door and knocked. She exchanged a few words with Mr Brayden before turning her eyes on me. Normally, when she comes, it was either to deliver a message to the teachers or students from the principal. This situation is no different.

"Miss Coleman, the principal would like to see you now." She sternly announced. She would leave until I come with her.

I sighed and got up. We left the classroom and went straight to the principal's office. I was looking forward to meeting Zack to explain why I never came to the wedding but then, this has to come up. I just hope it has nothing to do with some bullshit accusation Naomi decides to inculcate on me.

I knocked on in door and entered when I heard a 'come in'. Principal Rosemary was sitting behind a huge mahogany desk, a pair of glasses perked up on her nose with a serious expression on her face as she stares at me. Her back was arched straight like a robot and her dark eyes has a mysterious glint in it. She was in her late fifties and has being the principal of Maxwell high for ages. Most students are scared of her because of her strictness but since I'm a regular 'customer', I'm not. I always meet her for all my detentions, absence and other punishments.

"Good morning, Mrs Clarke." I greeted.

She nodded. "Morning. Take a seat, Miss Coleman."

I obeyed the instruction and sat. "In the last couple of days, I stayed out of trouble..."

She raised a hand to stop me from talking. I did. "You did. But that's not why I called you."

"Right." I shortly replied and waited for her to start talking.

She adjusted in her seat and leaned on the desk. "I noticed a lot of improvement in you, Miss Coleman. You're different now, I've to say. You're becoming serious in your academic performance and engaging yourself in all form of activities. Though, I think they lost a great cheerleader, it's for the best. I'm very proud of you, Miss Coleman."

For the first time in ages, she smiles genuinely at me. A rush of excitement and felicity filled me and I unconsciously smiled back at her. What I'm doing isn't just having a positive impact on me but also on people who believe in me.

"Now, would you love to talk about your pregnancy?"
