Selena's P.O.V.
What was Justin talking about? I mean I l knew it worked out perfectly, since UCLA wasn’t that far from here, plus I had a full ride. But the smile on his face, and the tone he used. Justin had ideas.
“Selena this is going to be perfect!” Justin exclaimed. There it was again. That word: perfect. What would be so perfect? Then my eyes widened.
Would Justin come back to LA with me? Was he kidding about not applying to colleges? Did he get into UCLA too? Justin! Just tell me what’s perfect already please. “What? What is going to be perfect?” I asked with curiosity.
“Well you’re going to UCLA! I’ll be able to move out there with you! And LA has wedding chapels. So we’ll be able to get married there,” he said with a wide smile. I smiled back. To be honest, I wasn’t sure about having a wedding in one of those wedding chapels where you only pay like 29.99 to get married.
I wanted my wedding to be special, the whole 9 yards. A nice white dress, the wedding cake, everything. But with the situation that Justin and I are in, a wedding chapel would be the right place for us. Then again, why would I need something special when I have Justin.
“So what do you think?” Justin asked with hope. Looking into his eyes, I smiled then nodded. Justin’s smile grew wider.
“Great! Now we’re going to take the next step of our lives after graduation. I’ll start searching for apartments and wedding chapels,” Justin exclaimed. He crawled off the bed then went over to his suitcase. Justin was really excited about this, so was I. But I was sure that Justin beat me for being excited.
“Oh my gosh Justin! Graduation! That’s a few days from now! I still haven’t found a dress to wear!” I said frantically. Justin took his laptop out of his suit case and set it on the end of the bed. He then walked over to me.
“Go find a dress. I’ll stay here and try to figure things out for LA,” Justin said. Looking at him, I smiled. Maybe getting kicked out of our houses was a good thing. I mean right now our independence had gone up a lot.
“Okay, I’ll text Taylor. I love you,” I said while getting off the bed. Quickly, I kissed Justin.
“I love you too,” he said with a smile. Walking past Justin, I grabbed my satchel. Looking back at Justin, I realized that I would need a car.
“Hey babe, can I borrow your car keys?” I asked sweetly. Justin dug into his pocket, and pulled out his car keys. He tossed the keys to me. Catching them, I smiled.
“Be back soon,” Justin said while getting onto the bed. He grabbed his lap top then leaned against the bed frame. Justin positioned his laptop so it was laying flat on his lap. He looked over at me and nodded.
“I’ll be back as soon as I can,” I said while exiting through the doorway. Justin quickly waved goodbye then went back to researching on his laptop.
Leaving Ruby’s apartment, I found my way back to Justin’s car. After I buckled up, I took my phone out of my satchel, which was located in the passenger seat of the car.
Me: Hey Tay, do you wanna go shopping for some graduation dresses?
Taylor: Yeah, sounds like fun! On me of course :)
Taylor was being so sweet. I let her pa for my prom dress/award dress. There was no way that I was going to let her pay for my graduation dress. No matter how bad of a situation I was in right now.
Me: No it’s okay, I got it.
Taylor: No! I refuse to let you pay for your dress. Just let me pay for it, no but’s. Okay Sel?
