Justin's P.O.V.

Exiting the sound booth, I went and sat down on the couch. Scooter was working with the producer on the new song. I had released the Believe album two weeks ago, and it has been number one since. Right now, I was working on some new music. But I wasn't feeling it.

Times are hard right now. I've been in the studio all day and all night, and Selena's been off at school. It's been 2 weeks of living in LA and Selena and I have hardly seen each other.

The producer left the room, leaving Scooter and I alone in the room. Scooter looked over at me. Sighing, I looked away from the floor and up at him.

"Kid what's wrong? You're number 1! You should be happy!" Scooter exclaimed. Shrugging, I had a reason to be unhappy.

"Of course I'm happy that I'm number 1. I'm very grateful for that. I just miss Selena. We barely see each other anymore. It's just hard," I mumbled. Scooter sighed then got up from his chair.

"Kid, you should take the rest of the day off. Just head back to the apartment and relax. That way when Selena gets back, you'll be able to see her," Scooter said while handing me the keys to the car.

Nodding, I was so thankful that Scooter had given me the rest of the day off. Hopefully Selena would be get back early from her class today, then we could spend the rest of the day together. Scooter then left the room. I then pulled out my phone and texted Selena with a wide smile.

Me: Hey babe! Scooter let me have the rest of the day off. When are you going to be finished with school today?

Waiting for an instant text message back, I knew I shouldn't have my hopes up. Selena was in class. The door then opened, causing me to quickly slip my phone back into my pocket. Great, Scooter probably changed his mind. Looking up, I groaned once I saw her.

"What are you doing here? I thought we banned you from this studio," I spat. She smirked then took a seat on the couch next to me.

"Well I came to talk to Scooter about a project that he has planned," she admitted. Scooter had a project? More importantly, why would he want her on the project?

"Why would Scooter want anything to do with you?" I asked with a scowl. She let out a soft laugh. I rolled my eyes. Her presence was just so annoying.

"Duh! I'm Barbara Palvin," she said with pride while flipping her hair. Rolling my eyes, I thought, 'And what's so great about that?' Barbara had a wide smile across her face.

"If you're here to see Scooter, then why are you in here?" I asked angrily. Her smile then turned into a smirk. She placed her hand on my shoulder then angled her body towards me. She tilted her head to the side then shot a flirtatious look at me.

"My dear, I couldn't come here without seeing you. Although, I thought you said you were retiring," she pointed out with raised eyebrows. Letting a chuckle escape from my lips, I looked straight into Barbara's eyes.

"Originally, I was going to. But things happen, and obviously they happen for a reason. And it's working out for the best," I admitted. Barbara nodded. 'Wait, why was I sharing this with her? We're not even friends!' I thought.

"So getting kicked out of your house was for the best? Speaking of which....why did you kicked out?" Barbara questioned. Looking at the floor, I pursed my lips. I had forgotten that the media found out that I had gotten kicked out of my house. However, they didn't discover the reason why. This is exactly what Scooter wanted, since we would be doing the announcement of mine and Selena's wedding later this week.

But I didn't see why we couldn't tell the media sooner. This was something I was psyched to tell them about. But no, I had to listen to Scooter. He is my manager after all.
