Justin's P.O.V.

Selena and I left each other's side and went to our assigned seats. Why couldn't we have last names that started with the same letter? Sitting down in my seat, I hated where I was assigned. The girl next to me had to be the most annoying girl at our school.

Let's just get this over with, please. Then she began talking to me. Someone save me! I tuned her out. But I made it look like I was paying attention to her. After the lecture I had gotten from my parents, I had become great at acting like I was paying attention.

We all rose for the national anthem. Thank goodness! Now she'll shut up. After the national anthem, we sat down then listened to the principal's acceptance speech. Rolling my eyes, I looked around for Selena. I was probably being a distraction, but I didn't care.

Once I caught sight of Selena, she was sitting in the row right across from me. We both smiled at each other. Selena then looked back at the principal. Sighing, I looked back at the principal, "paying attention".

"It's been a great 4 years with all of you. You have all left your mark on this school....Wow this is hard....Let's just start announcing the names before I start crying," the principal announced while pulling himself together. He straightened his tie then began to read off the names.

The girl sitting next to me continued to talk. Goodness, why? As everyone's name got called there were cheers from their families. The girl next to me stood up. Finally, she quit talking. She probably ran out of things to say.

The row that I was sitting in stood up. Here it was, the moment I was going to get my high school diploma. Wow, I need a minute. But I don't have one. We lined up along the side of the chairs.

Taking a deep breathe, it was now my turn. Everything about to happen was going to be a big step in my life. It sucks that my parents aren't here to share this moment with me. I know they're mad at me, but they should still be here at my graduation.

"Justin Bieber," the principal announced. There was cheering from Chaz, Ryan, Selena, and Taylor. The only cheer I got from the audience was Ruby. I was glad she came to support Selena and I.

Walking up on stage, I felt so confident. I moved the tassel to the other side of my cap then took the diploma. Selena blew me a kiss, and Ryan gave me a thumbs up. Looking out into the audience, I found Ruby. She was taking pictures on her phone.

A short way away from her, there was a blank spot in the audience. My eyes watered. My parents were supposed to be sitting there. They didn't come because of my decision.

"Mr. Bieber, we know you love the stage, but we need you to leave it now," the principal said capturing my attention. The audience laughed. Exiting the stage, I returned to my seat and looked at my rolled up diploma.

The principal's words kept running through my head. We know you love the stage, but we need you to leave it now. How could I leave? I made a mistake. Listening to the other people's names, I continued to think. This was it, this was my high school graduation.

What was my next step? Smiling, I now knew. One day I would thank our principal for saying those words to me. Not today, not tomorrow, but I will. One day.

"Ryan Butler," the principal announced. Springing up from my seat, I looked for Chaz. He sprung up from his seat. Looking back forward, I smiled. Chaz and I began hooting, hollering, and whistling at Ryan. His face turned red from embarrassment. Smirking, I thought, 'Mission accomplished.'

Sitting down in my seat, Ryan went to his row. He shook his head and glared at me as he took his seat. He leaned forward so we could still see each other. He shook his head and mouthed, "I'm going to kill you Bieber."
