YouTube 101

Packing

~The Next Day~

I woke up very excited. I ran downstairs and out the front door. The mail man was just walking up to our mailbox. He saw me and smiled.

"Hi Alyssa!" he waved walking up to the door.

"Hi Steven!"

"I have something for you." he smiled. I squealed with excitement as he handed me an envelope.

"Have a nice day!" he said walking to the next house.

"Thanks! You too!!" I called. I quickly shut the door and ran upstairs. I tore open the envelope and something fell out. I picked it up and saw it was my ticket to LA. I couldn't stop smiling. I checked the ticket to see what time the flight was. 1:00pm. I skipped down the hallway and knocked on my moms door.

"Come in!" She called. I opened the door and danced in. "What are you so happy about?" she asked. I held out the ticket.

"This just came in the mail!"

"That's great!" she said.

"I can't wait!!! All of my favorite YouTubers are gonna be there!!" I gushed imagining being friends with all of them.

I heard an alarm clock go off. A sleepy Maddison emerged from her room. A few minutes later a sleepy Chris walked of his room and straight into the bathroom.

5 minutes later he came out awake with his hair perfectly styled. Sometimes I wish I was a guy. Maddison went into the bathroom to get ready so I went to my room to get dressed. I put on a pink tank top and jeggings. When I finished I walked down stairs where Maddison and Chris were finishing their breakfast.

"Guys!! My ticket came!" I told them.

"What ticket?" Chris asked.

"My ticket to LA. That's where YouTube 101 is." I explained. They looked at me in shock.

"Awesome!!" They said at the same time.

"You have to send me a bunch of pictures." Maddison told me.

"I will." I assured her. They both started talking excitedly as mom walked in.

"Maddison, Chris, it's 6:50!" she told them. They immediately stopped talking and grabbed their bags. They rushed out the door and into Chris's car. My mom grabbed their dishes and brought them to the sink.

"So your flight is tomorrow?" she asked me.

"Yep! I'm so excited!!!" I exclaimed. She smiled.

"You're going to have a lot of fun."

"I know." I walked back to my room and got under the covers. I instantly fell asleep once my head hit the pillow.

I woke up at 10:30. I got out of bed and put on my combat boots. I went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. I put on a bit of makeup since I was going to go shopping. I brushed my hair and left it out. I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs.

"I'm going shopping!" I called to my mom.

"Okay!" she called back.

We lived a few blocks away from the mall so I could walk. I opened the glass doors and walked in. Music was playing from the loudspeaker. I walked into Forever 21 and started to looked around.

"OMG are you Alyssa Monroy?!?" I heard a voice shout. I turned to the voice and saw a girl about 16 years old running towards me. I smiled at her.

"Yes I am." I answered.

"Oh my gosh I love you so much! You're videos are awesome!!" She had a huge smile on her face.

"Awww thank you so much!"

"Can we take a picture?" she asked.

"Of course!" She took out her phone and took the picture.

"Thank you!" she said hugging me.

"You're welcome." I said hugging her back. She pulled away.

"Bye!" She waved.

"Bye!" I rarely ever met fans since I wasn't YouTube famous. On the special occasions when I did, they always meant a lot.

After 2 hours of shopping I finally decided to go home. I had found a few outfits to bring with me to LA. Chris and Maddison weren't home from school yet so the house was quiet.

I walked upstairs to my room. I opened my closet and got the suitcase I kept in there. I got out the clothes I bought and packed them. I got the rest of my clothes out of my closet and began to put them into outfits. 10 minutes later I became bored and walked away.

I went downstairs to the living room to watch TV. I turned the TV on to Pretty Little Liars. I love that show. I drifted off to sleep while watching it.

I woke up to the door closing. Chris and Maddison were home. Chris went straight to his room but Maddison came and sat with me.

"Hi Alyssa." She said sitting next to me.

"Hey Madds. How are things with Justin?" I asked. Her face reddened.

"Oh um g-good." She said trying to act normal. I smirked. "When is your flight tomorrow?" She asked trying to change the subject.

"1:00. So I'll be gone before you get home." I told her.

"Aww. I wanted to see you before you leave." She whined.

"It's okay. I'll FaceTime you when I get to the hotel." I assured her.

"Okay." She smiled. She got up and went to do homework. I turned off the TV and went to my room. I spent the rest of the day sorting out outfits and packing all my things.

Sorry that these chapters have been boring. These were just transition chapters. After this everything interesting starts :)
