YouTube 101

Who's Going?

When I came to I was on the floor. I guess I fell out of my chair. I read the tweet once again and screamed.

"MOM!" I screamed running downstairs. She ran to me with a worried expression.

"What's wrong honey?!?" she asked scared. I was breathing fast.

"Come!!! You have to read this tweet!" I said tugging her arm. She followed me quickly into my room and in front of the computer. "That one." I pointed. I saw her eyes move over the words on the screen. She turned back to me. Her worried expression was gone but she now wore a confused one.

"Why did you show me this?" she asked.

"Read it out loud!"

"Guys! YouTube is letting me and the boys attend a collage called YouTube 101!" she read. She still looked confused.

"Look at who tweeted it!!" I told her. I was starting to get impatient.

"Ricky Dillon. Who's that?"

"He's a member of O2L mom!!!" I said now annoyed.

"Sooo...."

"Sooo I love them! And they're going to be going to YouTube 101 with me!! Gosh. You need to put the pieces together." I said laughing.

"Well that's great honey! You think one of them is gonna be your boyfriend?" she asked. I felt my face get hot.

"Mom!!!" I shouted. She laughed.

"Do you?" she asked again still laughing.

"Okay that's all I wanted to show you." I said trying to change the subject. I pushed her out and closed the door behind her.

I went back to my desktop and continued to scroll through my time line. I saw many other YouTubers tweets about going to YouTube 101. The more I read the more excited I got.

My phone buzzed. I looked over at my phone and saw I got a text from my best friend Jade.

Jade: Do you see all those tweets about YouTube 101?!?!

Alyssa: Yes!!!

Jade: What do you think it is??

Alyssa: Its a school for YouTubers

Jade: How do you know?

Alyssa: Because I'm going!!!

Jade: Really?

Alyssa: Yeah!!!

Jade: Cool!!

Alyssa: Haha

Jade: sorry gotta go. Studying. Bye!

Alyssa: Bye

Jade was already in collage. She got a full scholarship so she didn't have to worry about money. I was always a little a jealous of her. She got perfect grades and everybody loved her. She was very pretty too. Like, very pretty but she refused to think she was. {Picture of her on the side}

I sighed and plopped onto my bed. I stared at the ceiling trying to think of something to do today. I looked over at the clock on the computer screen and saw it was 8:00. I was still a little tired so I closed my eyes.

I woke up to the door slamming and commotion down stairs. I looked back over at the clock on the computer. 1:30?!?! I slept for 5 hours? I walked downstairs to see Chris was home from school.

"Where's Maddison?" I asked him. He shrugged.

"I don't know. She just said that she didn't need me to drive her home." He explained. He walked over to the fridge and got out a can of Arizona ice tea. I watched him as he got all of his stuff out and began to work. He was opening the can when he noticed me still sanding in the doorway.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"No" I replied. "I just don't think I spend enough time with you anymore." He froze, knowing what was coming next

"What?" he asked. I smiled.

"It makes me sad. That I don't see you as much as before." I continued. "It makes me want to give you a big hug." I said and squished him in a big bear hug.

"Alyssa no not again!!!!" Despite his various groans, I could tell by the smile on his face he enjoyed my embrace. He finally hugged me back.

"Alyssa?" he said.

"Yes Chris?" I answered, not letting him go.

"I love you." he said.

"I love you too." I smiled.

"If you tell anyone I said that I'll kill you." He threatened. I just laughed.

"Don't worry I won't tell anyone." We stayed like that a little longer until we heard the door open. Chris quickly squirmed out of my arms. I turned to see that Maddison was home.

"Guys could you leave? I have someone over." Maddison said. I was about to ask who when a boy a bit taller than her walked in. When he saw me and Chris he blushed and looked down. There was a silence as me and Chris stared at him and he looked down at the floor.

"Who are you?" Chris asked. I nudged him and gave him a stern look.

"This is Justin. He's here to work on our project. Now if you'll excuse us, we have work to do." Maddison said. Chris looked Justin over and then got all of his stuff. I looked down and saw that I was still in my pajamas. I blushed and quickly walked back upstairs to my room. Chris followed.

"Where's mom?" he asked.

"Probably in her office. She still working. Don't bother her." I told him. He rolled his eyes and went to his room. I closed my door and picked something to wear. Since I wasn't planning on going anywhere I slipped on a plain white T-shirt, black ripped jeans and threw my hair up in a bun. I got my laptop and brought it to my bed. I put my headphones in and started to watch some YouTube videos. After and hour I started to get hungry. I walked to the kitchen to get a snack.

"Maddison. Do you want... oh!" I said. Maddison and Justin were sitting at the kitchen table. The quickly moved their heads away from each other when I came in. Justin's face turned bright red. Maddison just glared at me. I saw Justin's hand was on Maddison's. He saw me eye him and slipped his hand into his lap.

"I was just gonna ask if you wanted a snack but I guess you're not hungry." I said trying not to laugh.

"No I'm not." Maddison said through gritted teeth.

"Okay I'll just leave you two alone." I said giggling. I walked to my room and burst out laughing. I sat back down on my bed and continued to watch videos. Many of them were about attending YouTube 101. I was super excited for Monday!
