YouTube 101

First Day

~The Next Day~

I woke up at 5:30 so that I could be ready at 6:30. Yesterday Connor said that he'd show me where the school was since I had no idea. I was meeting him in the lobby at 6:30.

I got dressed, ate breakfast and got into the elevator. When the doors opened I saw Connor sitting on one of the chairs in the lobby. He was on his phone. He looked up and smiled at me.

"Ready to go?" He asked getting up.

"Yep! Let's go." It was a 20 minute walk to the school. The building was gigantic. Everyone walking in looked like ants compared to it.

"Wow." I breathed. Connor chuckled.

"Huge huh?" I nodded speechless. We started to walk in.

"Hey Connor! Why'd you ditch us?" A voice shouted from behind us. I froze. I knew that voice all too well.

"Yeah Connor! I thought we were walking together!" Another very familiar voice shouted. No way. This isn't happening. I slowly turned around to face 5 boys who have changed my life.

"Haha sorry guys. I was walking with Alyssa. She had no idea where the school was so I had to show her." Connor told them. They all looked at me. I waved shyly. They smiled and waved back.

"You guys... You.." I stuttered. "You're O2L!" I squealed. They smiled.

"Yes we are." Kian smiled. That smile 😍

"Well come on! We can all walk in together." Ricky suggested.

"Okay let's go." Connor said and we all walked to the front desk to get our schedules. Once we all received them, we started to compare them.

I had English first with Ricky, filming next with Connor, a free period with Kian, then Science with Sam, then lunch, Math with Jc after, and lastly Social Studies with Trevor. Surprisingly I had a class with him. He's younger so you'd think he'd take different classes.

"Is filming a class we film our videos in?" Connor asked.

"I don't know. I guess we'll find out." Jc answered as the first bell rang. I slug my backpack over my shoulder and went to go find the English room with Ricky. It looked like we found it faster than everyone else since there was only a few people in the classroom. We sat down next to each other. The second bell rang and more people came flooding in. Once everyone was seated the teacher stood up from her desk.

"Welcome!" She greeted us. She looked about 40. "I'm Mrs. Daly and I'm going to be your English teacher." She said and smiled warmly. The rest of the period flew by and before I knew it, the bell rang.

"Mrs. Daly seems nice don't you think?" Ricky said as we walked out of the classroom.

"Yeah. Really nice." We said goodbye and went our separate ways. I walked down the long hallways trying to find the filming room. I found it right as the second bell rang. All eyes were on me since I was the last one in. I spotted Connor in the back of the room. He smiled and waved me over. The teacher started to do the attendance. She looked to be in her 30's.

"You're late." he whispered as I sat next to him.

"Connor?" The teacher called out.

"Here" he called back.

"No I'm not. I came in as the bell rang."

"Alyssa?" She called.

"Here." I called raising my hand.

"Exactly. You're late." Connor said.

"No. Only if I come after the bell..."

"Alyssa. Connor. No talking."

"Sorry." I mumbled as my face reddened.

"Okay class I'm Mrs. Fuenzalida. This class is just to work on your YouTube videos. If you are planning on filming a video, you will be going into that room." She explained pointing to the back of the classroom.

"We already have tripods and cameras provided." She continued. "The rest of you will either edit or use this as a second free period. So remember to bring your laptops to this class. Since this is the first day you may talk amongst yourselves." Everyone cheered and started to talk.

I looked around the classroom and my eyes fell on someone, then the person they were talking to. It took almost all my strength not to start fangirling.

"Hey look! It's Troye and Tyler!" Connor said. "Troye!!! Tyler!!!" He called. They looked over at us and smiled. They got up and made their way across the classroom.

"Hi Connor!" They said.

"Hi guys!" I stared up at them in awe.

"Who's your friend?" Tyler asked, probably because he noticed me staring.

"This is Alyssa." He introduced me.

"Hi Alyssa!" Tyler said enthusiastically.

"Hi!!!" I squealed.

"I'm..."

"Tyler Oakley. I know." I cut him off. He smiled.

"What's my name?" Troye asked.

"Troye Sivan." I answered. We all started talking for a few minutes but the bell interrupted out conversation.

"Well it was nice meeting you Alyssa." Troye said waving goodbye.

"Yeah you're really nice." Tyler said and walked out of the classroom with Troye.

"Where are you going next?" Connor asked me.

"Free period." I answer grabbing my bag.

"Lucky." I smiled at him and waved goodbye. I wasn't exactly sure what to do. I decided to walk around the school until I find Kian since we have the free period together.

I waked down the long hallways and found a staircase. I went upstairs and found myself in a lobby like area. There were a bunch of couches and tables.

I looked around at the many people walking and talking. I found kian sitting by himself on his phone listening to music. I waked over and sat next to him. He looked up from his phone at me.

"Hey Alyssa." He smiled. Oh gosh. I was about to start a conversation with Kian when someone walked up to us.

"Hey Kian!" He said. I stared wide eyed at him.

"Hey how's it going?" Kian asked. I was internally screaming.

"Good." he answered and looked over at me.

"This is Alyssa." Kian said.

"Hi!" he waved. I couldn't hold it in. I screamed.

"JOEY GRACEFFA?!?!"
