⚠️ this chapter had mention of suicide of a side character. Don't worry, your boys are safe... for now. ⚠️Also rewriting this because I forgot about Chase, who is my favorite bad guy. 🤭
"How are things going in Galia?" Jiwoo asked Adora.
Adora only sighed. "They've been rebuilding, but Chaeyoung..."
Somin gasped. "D-do you think they got her?"
Adora shook her head. "She overdosed."
There was a silence in the room
Chaeyoung was the Sage of wind. She used to love in Galia before the attack, but she survived. Fortunately. But unfortunately, her friends and family were killed. This caused her to change. She wasn't the bubbly, cheerful Chaeyoung everybody knew. She became the exact opposite. She became a new person. Someone serious. Someone who rarely smiles or laughs. Someone they didn't know.
It wasn't her fault. Everyone she loved had died tragically, and she was just waiting for the day she dies next. She never told anyone about her struggles, and that was a mistake.
Because now the power of the wind Sage is gone, and Adora's team don't know where it went.
"So then what now?" Mathew asked.
"Jinyoung said he'll try to find her lost power. It shouldn't be too hard, since he's able to sense immense. But that also makes it difficult," Adora explained.
"Because he's not the only one who can sense magic," Seph nodded understandably.
Jiwoo suddenly broke down crying, making the others rush to her side. Her sharp breaths of air as she tried to keep herself from crying only made everyone's hearts break.
"I should've been there for her," she cried out. "I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault," Somin wipes her tears.
"It's no ones fault," Seph rubbed her back gently. "She couldn't handle the pain anymore, and that's not anyone's fault. She's at peace now."
"I know," she shook her head. "But I still could've comforted her at least. Being on this team, I lost all the free time I've had before."
"But this is all for the sake of our world," Mathew comforted her. "We are capable of saving everyone's lives. And once this war with Siren is over, we can finally go back to our old lives."
"Sorry to ruin the sentimental moment," Adora cleared her throat. "But that would only be the case if we can beat Siren."

It was a weird sound. It sounded like a breath in the wind. But also a voice. The voice was yearning, like it was calling for something. It distracted Yoongi from his training. He suddenly stopped his sparring with Jimin, his head turned to the woods.
"What is it?" Jimin asked.
Yoongi only placed his finger on his mouth. He listened more carefully to the sound. It was unexplainable in words. Like a humming, but also a ringing.
"Do you hear that?" Yoongi looked at Jimin.
"Hear what?" Jimin questioned. "All I hear is the sound of everyone's magic clashing together."
Hoseok dodged one of the balls of fire Taehyung had sent at him. He turned to Yoongi and Jimin.
"Hey!" he yelled. "If Mathew caught you guys slacking, he'd give you extra hours of practice."
