"Everyone," Siren announced, entering the base through the hidden passage of the building. "We've got a new addition to our team."

"Huh?" asked Chase, "Who?"

"He's-"

"It's me," Mania entered the room with a shit-eating grin. "So this is the infamous team led by Siren?"

Siren glared at him. "Never cut me off ever again."

"Who's this old man?" Chase asked, snickering a giggle

"I'm not an old man," Mania glared at him. "I'm 42 years old, and my name is Mania."

"He's the one who's been on the news," Hyun explained. "Killing every vulnerable person he finds on the streets."

"That's... correct," Mania nodded proudly. As if killing others is something to be proud of.

"Is Mania your real name?" Theodora asked. "That doesn't sound like a name a parent would give their child."

"My real name will remain unknown," Mania crossed his arms.

"Enough talk," Soo spoke. "Sir, what is he doing here? We were doing just fine with the six of us."

"We were until Adora recruited seven new members for her team," Siren clicked his tongue in annoyance. "One of them being the new Wind Sage."

"Wind Sage?" Mania asked. "Could it be that shorty with the black hair?"

He knew there was something off about the boy. He had a strong aura, meaning he held strong power (thank you).

"That power was supposed to be mine," Chase mumbled.

"Who cares about him though?" Ember asked. "He can't even use his ability yet. Even if he were, it would take a long time to master it."

"You talk like you've mastered yours as well," Hyun commented.

"Oh I can show you how much I've mastered my Sage's power!" Ember flashed his amber eyes at Hyun, who rolled his eyes in response.

"I don't want any of you guys fighting," Siren shook his head in disbelief. He swore he was like their dad. "I want you guys getting along, because I want to start discussing our plan as soon as possible. The sooner the better."

"So now are you gonna inform me of your plan?" Mania asked.

Siren smirked, "Of course."

"What, you're scared of the dark?" Jin heard the voice outside of the janitors closet ask.

He was sitting in the middle of the closet. The room was pitch black, and his mind was going haywire while he cried out begging to get let out. After his bullies found out he had a fear of the dark, they used his fear against him. Locking him in the janitors closet while he screamed out on the top of his lungs using his ability.

"Let me out!" Jin cried." I'm sorry! Please let me out of here!"

"How long do you plan on being such a baby?" the bully asked. "You're in middle school! No girl would want to date you, not even like you. Coward."

Jin woke up from his nightmare. His breath unsteady, as he looked around the room. The room was empty, but he could see Hoseok's empty bed. Meaning he was the only one in the room.

"Hoseok?" he called out.

His fear of the dark started when he was a kid. Most kids grow out of their phase of being scared of the dark, but Jin didn't. His mind didn't let him grow out of it, because his mind would keep giving him scenarios of what can happen in the dark. Eventually making it so that he could only sleep with the lights on.
