I woke up in Richards arms.

I got a little scared at first, but soon felt a wave of safety as I realized that this was where I was meant to be. I looked onto his beautiful face and sighed. If only everything could be this good.

I untangled myself from his warm embrace, leaving a small kiss on his cheek, and headed out the front door.

I had to make sure my mother was okay. She was probably worried sick about me. I hadn't exactly told her I left, last night. I just got up and ran.

When I reached the door, I heard nothing as it was still early in the morning. I had school today and my mother should be getting up any moment to wake me.

I crept into the house and tiptoed up the stairs to my bedroom. My mom was passed out on top of the blankets.

I sighed and walked over to her. I shook her shoulders a little and she jerked awake.

"Hu- what?!" She cried groggily.

"It's only me mum." I sad quietly.

"Oh Alese! You should be getting ready for school! I- I slept in?" She stammered.

"Yes you did mum, but it's ok. Go back to sleep, I'll walk and you need the rest." I told her.

"Yes, yes alright." She laid back down. "Be safe luv."

"Of course mother." I smiled at the poor woman.

I dressed and walked out the door again.

Only to find Richard walking up my drive.

"R-Richard!" I stuttered. "What are you doing here?!"

"I came to check on you, 'course, darlin'." He blushed.

I smiled. "I'm fine Rich, I just needed to cry is all."

"Well anytime you need to cry, let me be your shoulder." He prompted.

I blushed deep red. "Alright!"

He smiled and took my hand.

My heart did this weird thing in that moment. I couldn't explain it... but it was like it lifted and flew away.

He's the one! He's the one! I found myself thinking. At the age of 7.

But what if I met some other awesome guy, ever more awesome than Richard?

That's impossible! I thought. Rich is the only one for me!

We arrived at school and he let go of my hand and turned me to face him.

"Listen Alese, if anyone bothers you today, jus' lemme know, a'right?" He said sternly.

I smiled up at him. "Thanks for caring Rich, I can always count on you."

He chuckled and said, "Only the best get my affection, luv." And walked away.

My stomach fluttered. How could this be happening at 7 years old? I wasn't ready to get married, but I knew that if it came to it, I'd be down to marry Richard in a second.

The bell rang and I ran to class thinking about Rich and the life we'd have after elementary school.

"Carden!" Mrs. Tork yelled as I stumbled into class late. "You're late, for the third time this week!"

"I'm sorry." I mumbled, and took my seat.

I could feel all the eyes of the students watch me as I got my notebook out of my bag.

I couldn't think straight I need to get to Rich somehow, but I didn't want to bother him.

With that the end of the day bell rang and I ran to find Richard.
