I stared at the window as rain drops hit the glass surface.
Everything seemed to hit me in waves. Weather like this makes you reflect on everything you've been though, or just pretend you're in a music video.
I didn't have airpods though, so the silence cut through the air and fueled my thoughts.
Eventually the city lights caught my eye and ended my reflection. It reminded me of goals i had for myself.
That penthouse I always wanted to myself. I used to picture Balvin with me there, but I didn't see him anymore.
I don't want my goals centered around him anymore. I got to start doing the things I want for me, not anyone else. It shouldn't be any other way.
The car stopped, I touched up my hair and lipgloss. I also thanked the driver before stepping out of the car. The rain slowed, thank god.
I wasn't sure what to think as I walked up to that door. There was only one thing I knew: I wanted to be here. I felt safer than ever before. I needed this.
I walked up the steps before knocking on the door lightly.
Nerves.
I looked down at my Dior sneakers while anticipating what was coming next.
The door swung open and I shot my head up.
ANGELO
I opened the door not sure who to expect, I wasn't planning on having anyone over.
I saw her.
She looked so beautiful.
My eyes ran over her face first then her body. Her lips were calling out to me... I just wanted to grab her by the throat and tongue her down right there.
I already knew she was a woman with curves... but that little white dress she wore accentuated each and every single curve.
"Hi." She smiled at me. "Is it okay that I'm here?" I could see pain behind her smile, though. I knew her too well to say it was genuine happiness.
I licked my lips slowly before greeting her. "Hey Hennessy. Don't even worry about it, come in." I smiled while opening the door for her to come inside.
I watched her walk in and closed the door behind her. I turned around to face her, she was walking towards the counters. Her dress rose up some when she walked but it didn't move after that. The hem sat right under her curves. Skin tight, just how I like it.
She knew how to tease, for sure.
HENNESSY
I turned around and placed my purse on the counter. "I just wanted to hang out with you." I breathed.
He was closer to me than before, "I'm happy you came. I've been thinking about you. You alright?"
I looked away for a second. "Yeah, I'm okay." I said softly while looking at him.
"You know I don't believe that." He slipped a finger under my chin and lifted my head up.
I looked at his pretty eyes before turning my head, ridding his grip. "It's okay, I've just been stressed out. Could really use a break, a friend, and a hug... so many other things."
I didn't know what he was to me, but he's definitely been a friend for a hot minute. Even with that being said, I know he's feeling something too.
He opened his arms and pulled me in for a hug. "You know I got you. You can tell me anything."
I hugged him back before pulling away after a while. "Thank you, it means so much." I touched his chest.
