"Oh my God Liyah..." I watched his facial structure, trying to catch a glimpse inside his beautiful curled head. His eyes filled with awe and traces of tears, i still watched him carefully. "Liyah, when did you do this. When did you have TIME for this?" I shrugged, raising my eyebrow.
"I really have no clue. There were times in between takes of music videos and when i got home...i don't know." He looked back at the portrait, shocked.
The painting was created by me in full, complete, pencil and it stood in a 8 foot self made glass and frame. The picture stood a marvelous, lovely picture of Michael and Janet, with only charcoal pencil scratches that filled the entire page with the Havenhurst valley field behind them. The two were set on a small rock upholding both bodies; behind them ( on the left ) was a large oak tree almost completely hidden by a gigantuous willow tree that surrounded them and almost made their skin a little tad bit more shady. Michael's face looked on toward the left as his gaze went on staring at the window of the room that Michael and I were standing in. Janet was staring adoringly at her favorite older brother. The twins had smiles on both of there beautiful chocolate faces.
The inspiration of the picture had come from a cookout/family day that we shared last Friday afternoon. I had caught these two in the midst of a serene scene of peaceful siblings. Michael was watching his two new cousins Taj and TJ play around with each other; playing games, such as, hide and seek and tag. Janet however, had just witnessed me gesturing to her, and added the sweet, very real, adoration. "Do you like it? I mean i know it could've used a-" he completely cut me off with an enormous Michael hug. I smiled into the hug as his intoxicating scent drifted to my nose, and into my memory bank forever. He pulled back and looked at me in the eyes.
"It's perfect, but you know that I can't celebrate my birthday Liyah."
"It's not a birthday gift, it's a small day gift."
"Liyah, I can't accept it." i was hurt. I know that he was a strict Jehovah's Witness, but this was supposed to be special.
"Michael, I'm only giving it to you, merely because, I happened to finish it today. You know that I give you gifts during the month and not on your birthday. I know you can't accept it today, but i was really excited about it today, and I thought you would too." he looked sad as he took an enormous sigh.
