Chapter 8

  "Hey"
I turn to see Skyler walking trying to keep up with me and I slow down

  "Hi" I smile. Just a little too much of teeth show

  "How are you?"

  "I'm good,you?"

  "I'm alright" he runs his fingers through his hair as he bites his bottom lip. He looks so hot. "I missed you yesterday" he looks me right in the eyes and I smile shyly "where are you heading off to?"

  "My class. We've got a free period" I really love free periods

  "I've got a free period too. Wanna come over to my class?"

  I stop and stare at him "Are you joking?"

  "Does it look like I am" he brings his face close to mine and my heart stops as I move back a little

  "Then...sure" I answer and then he grabs my hand in his pulling me to his class. When we get to the door of the class, I feel nauseated. Should I have just said no? The class is a bit rowdy. And...I gasp to myself. That stupid Stephanie girl is in there. Would she try to beat me?? Skyler further tries to drag me into the class but I just go stiff as a rock.

  "Are you alright?" He asks

  "I don't know if this is a good idea. Like you guys are my seniors isn't it disrespectful?" I raise my shoulders and he laughs as he pulls me along with him.

We reach his seat and I sit on his desk as he tells me to. My cheeks are so hot and I can't look up cause I can feel everybody's stare on me. I close my eyes tightly,but then I feel a slight pressure on my hand. Skyler gently placed his hand on mine and I look at him. He gives a slight nod and gives me a reassuring smile. I feel whatever I felt in my chest before disappear.

"I love you" He says to me and I smile faintly. As always I never know how to react to that. "How have you been?"

"Good,as always. How are you?" I return his caring question

"I'm good. Your night?"

"Marvelous" I smile mildly at him. I lick my lips and turn away to see Stephanie staring at us. What an attitude. I sigh.

I peek into Josh's room and see that he's s on his phone. I pout a little before he notices me.

"Hey short stuff" he calls me

I exhale nervously before smiling and walking into his room to join him on his bed  "heyyo"

  "What do you want?" He asks tiredly and I stay quiet looking away from him "Are you gonna talk or do you wanna leave?"

  "I have a crush on Skyler" I speed talk

  Josh sits up facing me "like who doesn't know that?" He's being totally sarcastic

  "How did you..."

  "Everybody knows." He cuts me short

  I play with my hair as I dance back and forth before nervously asking "do you think he likes me too?"

  "Are you kidding me right now?" He chuckles "he's liked you since he met. I knew that. People knew that,but you were too dumb to notice. Instead you went after that idiot...what's his name again? Oh yes Liam"
My mouth is open in awe. "I thought when he heard you and Liam broke up he was trying to hook up with you that's y I nearly fought with him. But he does sincerely love you" when Josh says the word love,my heart freezes up with excitement
