'AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE WITH IRENE.' I thought.
I read the letter over again to make sure I read it correctly.
"So I did read it correctly." I said after reading it over again.
I decided to take the letter with me to Soo Jung's house. When I got to her house, I knocked on the door for it to be opened by Soo Jung a few seconds afterwards.
"Hey (Y/N). Come in." Soo Jung said.
I gave her a small smile and went inside her house.
"You can have a seat in the living room." Soo Jung said.
"Okay" I said.
Soo Jung then led me into the living room and I sat on the couch.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?" Soo Jung asked.
"No, I'm good." I said.
"Okay" she said.
Soo Jung then sat down next to me.
"This is a nice place. You live here alone?" I said as I looked around the place.
"Thanks and yes I live alone." Soo Jung said.
"Cool" I said.
I then decided to tell Soo Jung about the letter.
"Hey Soo Jung. Something crazy just happened to me." I said.
"What happened?" Soo Jung asked.
"Well I was leaving my house to come over here when I saw this letter in front of my door." I said and handed Soo Jung the letter.
Soo Jung then read the letter and I noticed her eyes go wide about halfway through reading it. When she was done reading the letter, she looked at me with her wide eyes.
"So if I read this letter correctly, you're going to marry the queen of the fox spirits?" Soo Jung said.
"Apparently" I said.
"Wha- how- how is this possible?" she asked.
"I have no idea. I haven't seen Irene in like over a month now." I said.
"You met her? When?" she asked.
"Over a month ago when I went to a fox spirit shrine that my parents used to take me to when I was younger." I said.
"And you haven't seen her since?"
"No"
"Then how does she already want to marry you?"
"Again. I have no idea. I guess I'll find out this Saturday."
"I guess"
Soo Jung gave the paper back to me and I pick it in my back pocket. We then continued to talk about random things.
Later that night...
"Hey Soo Jung. I have a question to ask you." I said.
"What is it?" Soo Jung asked.
"Why don't you ever smile? Cause now that I'm thinking about it, ever since we met I've never seen you smile." I asked.
"That's because I haven't smiled since the day my sister left." she said.
"Where's your sister?" I asked.
"She's one of the royal guards of the ice kingdom." she said.
"Does she ever call or visit?"
