How am I supposed to step up my game? Yoongi wondered, staring off into space in the garden, while Jimin hummed a song and pruned the trees. Why won't Jimin just kiss me?

He didn't notice he was sporting a grumpy look until Jimin skipped over, not looking tired at all. Or dirty. Jimin looked like he did no work at all, glowing even.

"What's with the long face?" He inquired, and Yoongi grunted. "Nothing. M' just thinking."

"You're thinking? About what?" Yoongi shrugged. "Nothing in particular, just what you said about upping my game." Jimin gave him a small smile before returning to his work, leaving Yoongi more stumped than ever.

Does he mean I need to be a bit more romantic? Yoongi looked up at the sky and sighed. Like roses or a fancy dinner or some shit?

He let his eyes trail around the garden, starting to plan how to be romantic, (you know, the roses and fancy candlelight dinner or something) when his eyes lingered on a single dandelion patch.

Dandelions, Yoongi mused. They're everywhere in this garden. His eyebrows furrowing, he stared at the little dandelions. Now, where have I heard that dandelions...

Yoongi shot up, the memory coming to his head as clear as ice. It was the day when they came back from the festival, Jimin had seen  Taehyung and Jungkook being all cuddly with each other. Back at the house, Jimin had asked for Yoongi to tell him all about how relationships worked in the human world.

In my world, we don't really date, instead, we have this courting, kind of thing." Jimin paused again and Yoongi waved his hand to tell him to keep going.

"In our world, it's the males or the dominant fairy who does the courting. They find a meaningful gift, and if the other accepts the gift, then they can continue courting."

"What kind of gifts?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin though for a moment. "Well, sometimes they are gifts that the other had wanted for a really long time or a really beautiful necklace. Something that the other person likes."

"Are there any presents that were really ridiculous?" Jimin sniggered at his question. "Yup, there was this one guy who gave me a pine cone." Hearing Jimin's answer, Yoongi bristled. He hadn't expected Jimin to be courted, of course, that was dumb considering how gorgeous Jimin was. "You've been courted?" Jimin smiled slyly.

"Why? You jealous?" Yoongi flushed and he glared at the other before looking at the ground.

"N-no! I'm not jealous! What do you mean?" Jimin giggled at him. "I'm joking."

He continued. "And at the final stage of courting, the male or dominant fairy gives the other a dandelion, the little petals symbolizing all the love they have for the other." Jimin finished off with a sigh, eyes looking dreamy-like with a soft smile on his face.

As Yoongi recalled that memory in his head, he knew what he had to do

When Jimin was close to finishing up cleaning the garden, he noticed that Yoongi disappeared. When did he leave? Jimin thought. Frowning, Jimin went back into the house to look Yoongi, but the male was nowhere to be seen. Where the heck did he go?

After cleaning himself up and taking a long hot shower, Yoongi was still not back, so Jimin decided to make some food for himself. It was during cooking when he heard the front door open again. Wiping his hands quickly on his apron, Jimin went to meet Yoongi, who was in the process of struggling with his shoes.

"Where did you go?" He asked. Yoongi took out a bag from his pocket. "Well, Joon forgot something in his bedroom so I went to drop it off. When I was coming back, I saw this necklace and it reminded me of you, so.." he passed the necklace box over to Jimin, who took it with shining eyes.

He was lying about dropping something off at Joons, but Jimin didn't need to know about that. He watched as the younger opened the box carefully as if it were made of glass. (Yoongi wished it did, it would have looked so much better).

Pulling out a crystalline necklace in the shape of a fairy paired with silver chains made Jimin gasp out in awe. He looked up at Yoongi, who took the necklace gently from his hands and attached it around Jimins smooth neck, brushing over his skin ever so lightly as he did so. Leaning back to admire how it looked, Yoongi brushed his thumb over the apple of Jimin's cheek.

"Do you like it?" Yoongi asked, and Jimin nodded. "I love it," he whispered. "Thank you, it's beautiful." At these words, Yoongis mouth lit up into an adorable gummy grin. "Really?"

"Yes."

After the first time, Yoongi progressively started to look for little trinkets he thought Jimin would like, then going back alone to buy them.

Every time he presented Jimin with a new present, the younger would always have the most ecstatic look on his face, and would leap in for a hug.

It made Yoongi feel warm in inside, and excited for the next time he would buy Jimin a present.

Finally, after six or so small gifts, Yoongi decided to draw the final straw.

That night, after waiting for Jimin to sleep in his fairy form at his little house in the garden, Yoongi tiptoed outside and plucked a perfect looking dandelion, fresh and bright.

He then made his way to Jimin's house, careful to make his foot steps as quiet as possible. The fairy had once told him that in fairy form, everything was amplified, including sounds, and sight.

After placing the dandelion on the front steps of Jimin's fairy house, Yoongi tiptoed back into his house and shut the back door quietly.

Making his way upstairs, Yoongi slipped under his bed covers, and dreamed fitfully of Jimin's reaction in the morning.
