1980
Polly's povIt's been a while since the Beatles broke up, but george and I are doing fine!
We moved into this amazing big house. George named it cracker box palace.
We also had a daughter! Her name's Anne, we name's her after my mother who sadly passed away three years ago.
I don't really have any family left. But I have George and Anne.
George started his solo career and he's loving it.
Ringo always comes in. Paul isn't a stranger.
But John on the other hand is basically never here. He never talks to me anyway.
-
I woke up on a sunny Tuesday morning. George was beside me. He was shirtless and was looking so cute. His eyes slowly fluttered open. He looked at me and smiled.
That smile. I love this man.
"Morning polyester."
I rolled my eyes.
"Morning Georgina."
He rolled his eyes.
We were interrupted by little Anne crawling in.
George jumped out of bed and picked her up.
"Hello baby!"
I smiled as George spun her around.George had grown a moustache he looks stunning!
Anne looks just like him to.
She had his dark mysterious eyes.
His brown hair.
His everything."Look it's your mummy! Look how beautiful she is?!"
George exclaimed pointing at me.
I blushed furiously.
"Mummy go pink!"
Anne said.
George laughed.
He brought his soft plump lips to her smooth head and kissed her.
"Your mother always goes pink when daddy comes in."
I rolled my eyes.
-
George walked out to the kitchen and put Anne in her high chair.
"I'm going to make eggs ok babe."
I nodded and put a shirt on.I took a seat next to Anne.
I played with her for awhile.
It was in the afternoon so the weather was slightly overcast but it was still beautiful.George turned on the small tv that's in the kitchen.
We listened to the radio.
And now let's take a step back to the sixties!
Do you remember the fab four? Let's play one of my personal favourites!Something started playing from Abbey road.
George wrote this song for me.
I looked up from Anne and George looked at me."May I have this dance?"
And like on cue it started raining.
George smiled and yanked me outside.
We started dancing outside in the rain.
I smiled and leaned into Georges wet chest. We both swayed. I smiled.
"I'm singing in the rain."
George sang softly.
I couldn't help but let a tear slip.
"I'm singing in the rain!"
I half yelled half chocked out.
"What a wonderful feeling I'm happy again!"
We both spun around and fell into the mud.
We laughed so hard until it literally started hurting."I love you polyester, I love you so very much."
I smiled.
He rolled on top of me.
I kissed him slowly."And I love you Georgina."
We both rolled around in the rain kissing each other.Nothing could ruin this moment.
Nothing.
That is what I thought.
"Come on Polly let's go back inside!"
George yanked me up and we walked inside.
"Mummy and daddy got wet?"
I laughed and nodded.
I kissed her head.
"George can you watch Anne I'm going to have a bath."
George didn't respond he just stood his back to me looking at the tv.
"George?"
I walked over to him.
"George what's wrong?"
I slightly shook him.He didn't look at me. He just walked out of the room.
I was so confused.
I looked at the tv.
John Lennon shot out front of his home in New York. Pronounced dead an hour ago.I dropped the tea tale I was holding.
John was dead?
No no no no.
He can't be dead....
He can't be.
I fell down and cried."Mummy?"
Anne said.
I just lay there in tears. Remembering him.
Remembering the man he was.Remembering my time with him.
Remembering who he was.
