Chapter 7: Collect 'em all

(A week passes, Bee working on his rally cries, Varian still grows, now 13 years old, Nightmare still holding their secrets, Sideswipe and Strongarm fight. Then comes up a Decepticon signal.)

A family on vacation, stop at a gas station when a Decepticon bird grabs their camper and flies off. Meanwhile the Autobots including Nightmare go patrolling in search for the Decepticon. "No sign of the Decepticon here, Strongarm, Sideswipe?",Nova comms then from her helmet. She wears a shiny energon crystal necklace around her neck that her sparkmate, Starscream gave to her, as she talks to them. They tell them no sign either. Fixit monitors the signal, to see if it's on the move. Strongarm and Sideswipe spot the fugitive as it lands on a transmission tower. They figure out what to do, until the bird attack. "Bee, they're in trouble!",Nova says. Fixit announces that she was correct and they go help them out. The bird first attacks Sideswipe, then Strongarm and carries them off. Sudden, Nightmare transforms to a predacon. She attacks her by sticks her claws like owl attacking another. She grabs the Decepticon's shoulders and gets pinned down. Nightmare gets off of her and shrieks loudly, protecting her friends. The Decepticon gets up and sees Night's shiny necklace on her neck, "Shiny~". Nightmare growls, telling her to back off. The bird attacks her, biting and pinching, the necklace comes off and goes on insulator. "No!!!",Night shouted from the speaker on her chest. It catches the bird's eye and she flies off to grab it. Nightmare growls and transforms to bot. As Bumblebee tries to climb on the tower to get her and Night's necklace, the power lines break, and it electrocutes him. Nightmare catches him, but the Decepticon flies off. Nightmare was now pissed off and sad at the same time because that was a momento from Starscream, and was the last thing she remembered of him and now knew she wanted to get it back.

The Autobots returned to the scrapyard and Fixit looks through the database. The Decepticon they were after is a compulsive thief, Filch. Strongarm tells another regulation that Sideswipe showed. He think that she was a total freak about rules. Nightmare couldn't take it another, "Stop it, alright?! Filch stole my necklace and it was given to me by someone!! So I or we don't need to follow rules expect being in disguise!!"

The team was surprised as she walked away and Varian followed her. "What's wrong her the dragon?",Sideswipe asked. Bee started to feel bad, but knew what to add to his list. Nightmare was on top of a sign, looking through her private journals on her screen. She allows her son to see. But suddenly closes her screen as Bumblebee came up to check up on her. "Nightmare, are you alright? You sort of.. snapped. Not like you",Bee was concerned.

"Sometimes... I have anger issues.. sorry I yelled. Just that necklace was important to me.. was given to me from my.. friends.",she says, being true in the beginning, but being a liar at the end.

"Oh.. what were you reading?",he asked. She opens up her hospital journals. Bee was impressed what she's done in Vos. He thinks that she was feeling homesick a little, but she wasn't.

"I'm not homesick, Bee.. I'm fine.. somehow a small pain in my fuel tank." Bumblebee understood and he climbs down.

"We'll call you if we find Filch."

Nightmare starts humming a small echoing siren song to make her feel better.

Bumblebee hears her echoing song and it made his spark flow smoothly from her voice. Her voice echoes in the air far that the other bots can her. She finishes her song. Filch flies off a statue and Fix-it detects her signal, "Filch is on the move." Night hears him and comes down off the sign with her son. The bots prepare to roll out, but Grimlock was told not to go or else he'll be seen by humans. He says he's been working like a Earth-based vehicle. Night walks next to Bee. Grimlock disguises himself as a truck. Bee and Night were not convinced.

They drive to the bridge, Denny and Strongarm see Filch trying to pull a beam off the bridge. "Quick! Before she-",Bee was about to say, until Filch pulled off the beam of the bridge. She squawks loudly, "That stays here!",he said, grabs the beam but didn't let go, like tug of war.

"Bee! The bridge!!",Night shouted and the bridge started cracking. He orders to Strongarm and Sideswipe to stabilize the bridge. Nightmare pulls on Bumblebee's feet, "Don't let go, Nightmare!!". She shakes her head no that she won't let him go. Bee orders Denny to not let anyone back in the bridge, so he goes in disguise. Night pulls as hard as she can, but not that hard because of her strength. Filch kept squawking mine and Night got annoyed.

The two struggle at the bottom, trying to hold the bridge. Denny tell Bee and Night that the bridge is clear and that they were robotic zookeepers. Suddenly, Filch notices Denny's shiny helmet. Bee let's go of the beam and they both fall. Filch grabs Denny and the beam and flies off with it.

"Scrap!", Bee said.

Grimlock gets called for assistance, but has to go in disguise because of a human in the scrapyard, not Russell. Denny wakes up and see a bunch of shiny stuff on top of a statue. In the corner was Nightmare's necklace that's sparkling. Denny bumps into Filch and think that he wasn't shiny. He points at a recycling plant which has all shiny stuff and Filch flies off. Meanwhile, Grimlock comes to help the bridge, lifts it up while the team find Denny and the necklace. They soon arrive at the statue to save him. Nightmare was in her Predacon mode to see if Filch was coming. They start to climb up the statue, until Filch showed and was about to tackle Bee. Nightmare tackles Filch until she can grab him, like two owls fighting and using their talons. Night shrieks and snaps at her.

"Nightmare!!",Strongarm shouted.

Filch throws Night on the ground, and she hurts her back and roars. Filch lands on her and her foot was on the side of her face, pinning her down, "Mine~". Nightmare growls.

Bumblebee punches Filch to get off Night. She gets up and suddenly grabs the bird with her mouth. She squawks and sways at her. "Watch the birdie!",Strongarm comes down from the statue and punches her.

"I will never understand her.",Sideswipe said still climbing. He reaches for the top, hurls the the beam and knocks Filch out. "Are you alright up there?",Night said, speaking from the speaker on her chest.

"Yeah, looking for this?",Sideswipe shows her necklace and she wags her tail happy and flies up there to grab her necklace. Bee takes the beam back to the bridge, so he can relieve Grimlock. They arrive back at the scrapyard. Denny had to deal with another scrap collector, but the collector had to give up the memory cards from his camera.

Moments later, Bee finds Nightmare on the sign and she was with Strongarm, watching the city. "Nice that you broke a rule for a change. Sometimes you don't have to follow the rules.. when you're on cybertron, Strongarm.",Nightmare says.

"I know, Nightmare.. that looked like a dangerous fight that you pulled off on Filch. You could've gotten yourself killed."-Strongarm.

"I always, well sometimes have fights like that on Cybertron. Not everything changes back home.. or here.",Nightmare said, Strongarm looks at her with a small smile. Nightmare smiles back

Bee hears their conversation while climbing up. "Amazing. You broke protocol today, cadet.",he said.

"I realize that you, Grimlock, Fix-it, Sideswipe.. even Nightmare, you're my ties to Cybertron, more than any rule book."-Strongarm.

"You're gonna be okay."-Bee

"Not it's not to say that I won't be writing you all up",Strongarm pops up her screen. Nightmare and Bumblebee smile.
