Chapter 13: Out of Focus

(Varian was excited that he was gonna go on his first with the team.)

Bumblebee listens to the other bots petty bickering, even Night and Starburst were getting annoyed. Bee tries to focus on himself, saying Optimus' quote. But for his stress levels, Fixit detects Decepticon signals. "Yes! My first mission, ready, mom?", Varian asked excitedly.

"Actually, Varian, I'm gonna take a break from a mission.", she said.

"Aww what??"

"I think you should go on your own. Be beside Bee. I'm trusting you, okay? Be safe", she said, putting her servo on his faceplate.

"I will, mom."

The team drives off, Night waves to them bye. She walks away, goes to Starburst standing next to a stasis pod. "You know what to do. Open the pod when Varian comes back from the mission.", Night looks at Star. He nods. She goes in the empty pod, slowly closes her optics and the pod closes. Once her eyes closed, Night found herself somewhere else.

She opens her optics and was in the realm of the Primes. "You have arrived, Nightmare", Micronus spoke to her. Optimus was surprised to see her.

"Nightmare??"

"Yes, it is Nightmare— the daughter of Primus. She has come here to train with you since her son is on a mission."

"Son?", Optimus was confused. But Night explained a little bit because Micronus was being a little impatient. It was time for their training to start. The Decepticon hunters they both had were more than just swords. Micronus brings up a big hill for them for their test. "A hill? This can't be that simple." ,Night said, looking at Micronus. He suddenly reveals a group of human, which made Nightmare and Optimus go into shock.

"You brought defenseless humans to the realm of the Primes?!",Night looked at him.

"They are not defenseless— they have both of you.". Night senses something wrong and they both see robot foes coming. She started to growl, showing her teeth and fangs while looking at the big bot. They're training begins.

Back with the Bee team, they find pods, but torn away violently. So the team figure out what Decepticon they were dealing with; Skunkticons.

"What are those?", Varian asked. Fixit explains.

Bee suggest to go back for gear to avoid the cons' toxin, but Grim plans to punch and runs off. Strongarm goes after Grim, Sideswipe decides to follow as well.

"Ugh, it's like herding Earth felines.", Bee said, running after the three. Varian also follow, but he wonders how his mom was doing.

Nightmare and Optimus run in front and started to protect the humans from the threat bot. Night rather use or not use a Decepticon hunter. "What kind of test is this, Micronus?! This is insane!", she said.

"You think you both will never find yourselves in an insane situation? Better check your expectation meters."

"I'm faced challenges worse that this!"-Night

She pulled out her weapon, a spear and glares at the threat bot. It throws it minicons, also known as cyclones at both of them. They both get hit.

"Gah! Grr!", Night gets hit while she was trying to grind out a shield. The cyclones transform and get ready to fire at the humans.

Night gets up and notices, "Optimus, the humans!", she called to him. She runs up to the humans and her shield appears on her arm until one minicon fired. Optimus runs beside her. "Nightmare, enlarge the shield!", Optimus said, looking at her. She does so. All the minicons started to fire. Suddenly her gem began to light on and off, something was going on with her powers. She grunts trying to hold it in.
