Chapter 10: Can you dig it?

(They continue detecting more Decepticons. Nightmare liked training her teammates, even though Bee is the team leader.)

At a construction site, a worker digs up an energon cube. But before looking closer, comes a sinkhole, and a big robotic claw grabs the cube.

At night in the scrapyard, everyone watches a tv show about a motorcycle gang. Night was in her holoform, sitting on the couch. Grimlock was curious why the motorcycles couldn't transform, "I've seen these documentaries back on Cybertron. They don't transform.",Nova explains. Then Sideswipe explains the identical jackets to Fixit, but didn't understand. He walks away frustrated. Denny calls Russell to head to bed in the trailer, the bots say good night. On the tv, a kiss scene leave the bots questioned and curious except for Night. She experienced kisses before. Night blushes a bit, looking at the tv. "Night, what is that called? And why are they smashing their mouths together?",Strongarm asked her.

"It's called a kiss. It's something that people do when they're in love.",she said. The bots look at each other and didn't know that she knew that.

Sideswipe wonders around until he sees another bot lurking around the scrapyard. He attempts to ambush him only to be knocked on his can. The new bot draws Sideswipe's sword at him. "Stop.",Bee said as he and the others walk to him.

"Is it time for my solo?",the bot said, known as Jazz. Nightmare recognize him, "Jazz??",she smiles.

"Well if it isn't Nightlight.",he said, smiling. The two hung out on Cybertron at clubs, doing karaoke and studios. Bee was surprised that they knew each other. "It's so good to see you again..!",she hugs him a bit. Jazz was sent to investigate a distress call from the Alchemor. Next morning, Bee told Jazz about everything that happened. "We can't leave earth, there's still lots of Decepticons roaming around.",Night looked at him. They continue to talk until it was interrupted by a sinkhole and the Decepticon pops out. Night hated this con too, "A crook named Ped." He heads toward their energon stash, but Sideswipe decides to take action. But he gets zapped by his stinging mandibles. Ped dives back into the ground, and another hole opens behind the two humans. As Russell falls in, Bumblebee dives in after him and with the help of the other Autobots, manages to fish Russell out. "It was a distraction!",Strongarm said, pointing at their energon stash that's half gone.

"That shifty, digging mutt..!",Night said mad.

They plan to go after him, but the tunnel was split into two. So the team decided to go into two groups. Sideswipe insisted on going with Jazz and Nightmare. Strongarm pairs with Bumblebee. As they drive through the tunnel, Sideswipe starts complaining about the other bots holding him back. "Sideswipe, we're not holding you back.",Night said underneath her helmet, riding her bike next to Jazz.

"That's easy for you to say, you're a seeker dragon. Sometimes you just have to put the petal to the metal door and go. You know what I mean?",he turns and drives backwards. Night and Jazz slow down a little bit. Jazz suggest he should pace himself. Night agrees with him, and drives faster. They follow her. Strongarm and Bumblebee spot Ped, but digs underneath the city and a section was about to collapse. Bumblebee begins holding up the roof, while Strongarm uses rocks for reinforcements until Ped shows up and attacks Bee. Strongarm couldn't got to his aid because she was holding the ceiling. But Jazz comms Bee that they found Ped's stash of energon cubes. Suddenly a portal opens a bit far in front of Ped. Then a robotic thanator jumps through the portal and attacks Ped. He lets go of Bee from his claw. Bee was shocked from what he was seeing. Ped throws the animal off and hurried away to protect his energon. Bee stands up, looking at the creature and sees his symbol, a Decepticon. "Fixit. Are you seeing this?",Bee comms him. Fixit tries to search it up in the manifest and the unknown Decepticon's info pops up. It was Starburst, and he finally came back to Earth. Starburst looks at Strongarm struggling and decides to help up by holding the ceiling. Bee comms Jazz that Ped was coming to their aid. "Bee, are you guys alright?",Night asked him.

"Yeah, we're fine, but we suddenly had some strange help from a four-armed Decepticon that just came out from a portal."-Bee

"Four-armed Decepticon?",she questioned.

Ped arrives and Sideswipe thinks he can let it flow, but couldn't and gets zapped again. Nightmare hides and tries to create a plan of attack. So, Jazz plays along with the con and suggest to make him Ped's second in command. Nightmare thinks the con was crazy and weird. Using the energon cubes as a currency with the other Decepticons. Night suddenly realizes what Jazz was about to do, "Wait!!" Jazz blasts Ped with sound and light, but the roof starts to cave in. Jazz covers Sideswipe, then Night covers both of them with her wings. Ped left and taken the energon with him. The three break out. Night looks at Sideswipe. He felt a bit bad and guilty that he didn't let it flow. "You're trying too hard.",Jazz said and helps him up.

"Just do what you do, Sideswipe"-Night.

They head back to the scrapyard. "Okay, who is this Decepticon that helped-",she stopped talking until she saw her old best friend. Starburst looks at her, and felt bad inside because he left without saying goodbye at the well in Prime. "You know this Decepticon?",Bee asked. Night nods a little and hugs Starburst, tells that they will talk later, but first they have to capture Ped. They come up with a plan by rigging a trap for Ped- an open pod hidden in stacks of energon and boxes covered in glowing, blue paint that look the same.

As the night falls, everyone was ready and observing the cubes. Starburst stands guard behind the aisles peeking out. The ground starts to shake and the train car and the bots suddenly fall in a pit that Ped made. He appears in front of Denny and Russell. They both point at the energon. Starburst waits for the roar signal from Night, waiting to attack Ped. The other try to figure out how to get out of the pit. Night turns to a predacon, tries to climbs out, but the walls were too soft. But now their plan was to go on top of each other's shoulders. Outside, Ped wanted to deal with the humans first. Night gives the roar signal to Starburst. "Right here!",Denny shouted, Starburst in his bot mode, hits Ped with his fist. In the pit, they were able to reach. But Sideswipe has a plan and went up first to keep Ped busy with Starburst. Denny tries to pull up the others with his construction vehicles, now there was too much weight. Grimlock and Strongarm were left in the hole while Bumblebee, Jazz and Nightmare get out. "Sideswipe, Starburst, we're here!",They ran over, until Ped appeared behind Night and electrocuted her. She grunts from the stinging. "Night!!",Starburst shouts.

"Hey botworm!"-Sideswipe.

He calls Ped names to charge at him. Ped throws Night aside and they both tumble in the stasis pod. But Sideswipe tell bee to close the stasis pod, and he didn't want him in there. Jazz lends a hand to help Sideswipe, and we're able to make it out and close the pod. Night walks next to Bee. She was relieved that they were both okay. In the morning, Denny fishes put Strongarm out, but the cable breaks. Nightmare fishes Grimlock by grabbing him with her Predacon feet and flying him out. He wasn't heavy to her, light as a feather; power of strength. Jazz promises to smooth things out with the council, then he looks at Night, "You know your face is shown too, you know..?",he said.

"Yeah... I know.. be safe",she nods. He leaves and Night walks away to talk to Starburst. Star felt bad for leaving her and apologizes. They both hugged. Bee looks at them and types on his list of the strange things about her.
