behind him, sorin was shaking. he was scared because it's his first time he went out of the palace. beomgyu made sure to keep him close, but he's not sure.

there's taehyun, who was crying. for some strange reason, he looked absolutely stunning. he resembled a fierce warrior and at the same time, a fragile hyacinth. his tears were like jewels falling from the earth.

and then, there was him. he hated him ever since he stepped on the throne in chevaria. he's heard a lot of things about him, and all the bad things? he believes them. beomgyu believes that he is a player, and just breaks every guy's hearts that chase after him. he believes that he tortures people for fun. he believes that he's just as bad as his father.

and he was angry. he went inside and glares at the blue-haired man, who made his trusted doctor cry.

he walks to the other prince, his face furious and full of resentment and hostility.

"what did you say to kang taehyun right here? huh? who the hell do you think you are, choi yeonjun?" he spat on yeonjun's shoe, glaring at him. yeonjun stood up from his seat and raise his chin and eyebrow, chuckling. taehyun could only watch as he sniffled, with sorin comforting him, even if he just met taehyun.

"i'm the best prince efaeryn could ever ask for."

"bullshit."

he swung a punch on yeonjun's cheek and it hit his nose too, making it bleed. beomgyu looks at him for a second before proceeding to beat him up, kicking him on his stomach and pulling on his hair harshly, before slamming his face on the wall, but not enough to break something. he's still careful enough to not actually damage someone older than him.

yeonjun falls down, his cheek purple with a bruise and his lip and nose bleeding. he looks up at beomgyu with mutual hatred in his eyes. he breathes heavily before he stands up, clutching his stomach.

before he even manages to land a hit on beomgyu, something stopped them from fighting. taehyun breathes heavily, still crying.

"stop..please! i don't like to see you two fighting, when both of you are very important to me."

they both look at taehyun in shock. beomgyu didn't notice how his eyes shined with tears. he noticed his hands shaking, though.

"if you two continue to fight in front of me and this boy, i will forbid you to enter my fort.." he speaks in a shaky voice, and looks down before he summons the courage to say his wishes.

"please, yeonjun hyung, leave. go to my sister to get checked, and don't come back until i manage this problem of ours...i'll send a letter to you."

yeonjun did so, with sorin helping him without caring if he leaves beomgyu with taehyun.

and then, in silence, taehyun looks up at beomgyu and walks to him, slapping his cheek.

beomgyu flinched at that, and taehyun was infuriated.

"you..you came here for a reason, right? what's with you and yeonjun hyung?! huh?! why would you hurt a guest of mine when you are here in my sanctuary?! answer me!"

his loud, shaky voice sent vibrations to the fort, and taehyun sobbed, trying to calm down. beomgyu just stares at him, tears forming in his eyes.

"i-i'm sorry, taehyun-ah. i won't do it again.." he answered in a small voice, looking down.

taehyun then realized his mistake. oh dear.

he was about to hold beomgyu when the latter suddenly left, making taehyun bolt out of the fort, calling his name, while beomgyu ran away.

this made taehyun cry even more, the pain seeping throughout starbrace, and maybe, throughout the whole forest.
