AURIELA POV

* 3 WEEKS LATER*

I woke up in the morning to my stomach becoming nauseous.  I stood up and ran into the bathroom. I fell and slid onto the tile floor. Right as soon as I put up the lid, I threw up. I tried to keep as quiet as possible. My parents didn't know that I was getting sick every day for the past week.

I stood up and wiped off my mouth. I brushed my teeth and walked back to my bedroom. I jumped back into bed and stared at the ceiling. Tears welled into my eyes.

Could I be pregnant?

I looked at the clock. 6:15. I could run to the drug store and get back before my parents wake up. I got up and took a quick shower. After I got out,  I did my makeup.  It was winged eyeliner, gold eyeshadow and mascara.

I got dressed in white shorts with a black tank top and grey cardigan. I put on my red Jordans and put my hair in a ponytail.  I grabbed my car keys and my purse and walked out.

I pulled up and walked in. I found the health and medicines aisle and looked around. I found the tests and grabbed two. I went up to the register. 

" Your total is five dollars and forty three cents." She said.  I gave her a ten and she gave me change.  I grabbed the bag and walked out. I then pulled through Starbucks and Duncan Donuts.

SAVANNA POV

I heard the front door open and close. I sat up in my bed. I grabbed the handgun that I kept under the bed. I crept down the stairs.  I looked around. Auriela's car keys were missing.  I went back upstairs and looked into her room. She was gone.

I sighed and walked back into my bedroom. I placed the gun back into the safe and sat in bed with my husband. He looked over at me.

" Babe, is there something wrong? " He asked. I shook my head. I went back to sleep.

AURIELA POV

I sat on the bathroom floor crying. Both tests said positive. I couldn't bare this. I sobbed and sobbed.  After what seemed like a hour, I stood up. I looked into the mirror and saw my eyes red and puffy and makeup running down my face.

I went back into my room and hid the tests underneath my dresser. I took off my makeup and got back into my pajama pants.  I climbed back in to bed and cried myself to sleep.

SAVANNA POV

I peeked back into Auriela's room and saw her there. Thank god. I walked in and lightly shook her.

"Honey do you wanna have a girls day today? " I asked her. She nodded and got up. She trudged into the bathroom.  I went into my bathroom and showered. I did my usual makeup routine and got dressed. I dressed in leggings and a white ruffle top. I slipped on golden flats and brushed my hair.

It had been so long since me and Auriela had a day by ourselves all together. She was going to be sixteen. Wow.

Almost sixteen years ago, I went into labor while student teaching. It was painful but worth it. I don't know what I would do without her.

She came down in a black tank top, white shorts, ponytail, grey cardigan and red Jordans.  And she did her usual makeup.

It was ten o'clock and the mall opened up an hour ago. She smiled at me and I smiled back. I left a note for Josiah and we walked out of the door.

   5 hours later

Auriela and I had been walking and shopping for almost five hours.  She was so happy and her smile, it glowed.  She was so beautiful.  I loved her till the end.

We walked out to the parking lot and sat in the car.

"Thanks mom. I think I needed that." She said.  I nodded. 

Suddenly a cloth cupped over mine and Auriela's mouth.  We both scream and thrashed around.  But it wasnt any use. 

"Did you miss me." A manly voice whispered into my ear. I recognized that voice.  I looked at my daughter. Tears rolled down her face. I grabbed her hand letting a single tear escape my eye.

That was the last thing I did before I let the darkness take over.
