Laila's POV
.
I stood in the kitchen making everyone food. Oh how much I love cooking. I could do it all day. I was finishing up when I felt tingles on my hips.
.
"Morning beautiful", Ryder said.
.
"Morning", I said as I leaned against his chest.
.
I put the food on the plate and sat them down on the counter.
.
I turned to face him and put my hand on his chest. I then pushed him off. He stumbled and growled at me.
.
I laughed and rolled my eyes at him. I ran up the stairs to get ready for the day.
.
Before I made it up the stairs Ryder yelled, "Make sure you dress nice, we are going out".
.
I stop for a second and continue my great journey up the stairs. I then chose a black fitted long sleeve shirt, my dark blue skinny jeans, and my black converse.
.
I brushed my hair and ran down the stairs to see Ryder in a black fitted v-neck, black leather jacket, dark washed pants, and his combat boots.
.
With his back towards me, I ran quickly and hopped on his back. Ryder's hands immediately with my thighs to hold me up. I smiled at him and he gave me a real smile.
.
"Where we see going we have to walk, or me walking", Ryder said playfully glaring at me.
.
'Im probably too heavy', I thought to myself.
.
"Your not heavy", Ryder said snapping me out of my thoughts.
.
I sighed in content and snuggled into him.
.
About five more minutes of walking Ryder stopped.
.
"Close your eyes", he commanded me.
.
I pouted but closed my eyes anyways. He grabbed my hand and guided me through the snow covered forest.
.
"Ok", he whispered in my ear. "Open".
.
I open my eye to see a frozen waterfall, with lights strung on the trees. I gasped in shock at all of this. There was even a blanket with food laid out on it.
.
Tears brimmed my eyes at all of this.
.
"It's beautiful", I whispered.
.
"Not as beautiful as you", he said burying his nose in the crook of my neck.
.
We stood there for a moment when my tummy growled.
.
I blushed while Ryder laughed at me.
.
"I can't have my mate starving", he said.
.
I stuck my tongue at him and huffed in annoyance.
.
Ryder picked me up bridal style and sat me in his lap while we ate.
.
There was a variety of foods from steak to cake, sandwiches to strawberries. I quickly grabbed the strawberries and started to eat them.
.
Ryder had his eyebrow raised and shook his head while he ate a piece of steak. I raised my eyebrow at him as he stuffed his face with steak. Really.
.
"Delicious?" I asked him.
.
Ryder nodded.
.
I giggled and jumped off of his lap. I started to back away slowly and smirked at me.
.
"You gonna come and get me", I said my smile getting bigger.
.
He growled possessively and I took off running. I heard Ryder's thundering steps coming after me.
.
I picked up the pace when I felt someone tackle me and it wasn't Ryder. I flipped over and saw it was a rogue.
.

.
Fuck I kicked him off of me.
.
Ryder's POV
.
I chased after my Snow White beauty Laila when I smelt something change in the air.
.
I kept following Laila's scent when I smelt rogue.
.
I followed the scent to see Laila in wolf form on top of a rogue snapping its neck.
.
That's my girl. I quickly ran over to where she was, and checked to see if she has any injuries.
.
Laila licked me in face. We both froze when we heard a wolf howl.
.

.
Well fuck. I instantly shifted and took off running with Laila hot on my trail.
.
