The Matthews (Sam)
Sam yawned as he went into the kitchen where he found his little brother eating oatmeal on the dining table and his mom in the kitchen. His Dad was nowhere to be seen, neither was his sister.
"Morning Mom." Sam smiled as he kissed his mothers cheek.
"Oh! Honey, goodmorning. I made you some oatmeal, it's on the table next to Auggie." Sam nodded as he sat down next to his brother.
"Goothmornin' Shamy!" Auggie said with a mouthful of oatmeal.
"Mornith to you too squirt." Sam smiled as he kissed his brothers curly hair. They both had curly hair, only Sam's hair was more like his mothers while Augie was all dad.
"Where is everyone this fine morning?" Sam asked as he started to eat his Oatmeal.
"Your sister and Maya are at the bay window." Mom said as she dried her hands off with a towel.
"This early in the morning? What about dad?" Mom smiles as she walks to Riley's room. With a couple more scoops of my oatmeal, I follow after her.
"And when I do, will you still be there for me?" I heard my sister ask as we get to her door.
"Right here. We'll be right here." Mom says as she goes to stand next to dad. I lean on the door frame and see my sister and her bestfriend sitting on her bed. Riley looks to me, I smile knowing what she was silently asking.
"Your stuck with me untill I 'bleh!', Riley." I say as I playfully stick out my tongue. Riley and Maya share a look, and smile at each other.

Subway (Maya)Only a couple of steps into the subway, and I already see my friend Weasel playing on buckets with his drumsticks.
"Weasel!" Surprisingly me and Sam say his name at the same time. I turn to look at Sam, and see that he was also looking at me. He flashed me a small smile, which made me look away shyly. Lately, seeing Sam has been making me feel weird, I don't know why.
"Maya! Sam! Who's the new chick?" Weasel asked pointing at Riley.
"This here would be my other half, my most prized treasure, and literally the definition of pure, my sister Riley." Sam said, wrapping his arm around Riley. I couldn't help but smile, he was so sweet.
"Chick, down here I'm a chick! No wonder mom and dad don't want me in the subway!" Riley said, bursting with energy.
"Calm down." Sam chuckled as he patted his sisters head.
"Your slouching Maya." Gretchen said as she walked past.
"Thank you Gretchen!" I smile as I playfully strut to the train. I could tell Riley was copying me, so I tried not to laugh.
The three of us pack into the train, Riley and I holding onto a bar in the middle of the train while Sam held onto the overhead bar. I hate tall people.
"Woah, Riley, you don't do lip gloss." Sam curiously pulls out an earbud and saw Riley putting away her lip gloss that she just applied.
"Oh, What I forgot to mention is that I'm completely reinventing myself. I ride the subway now, I have kiwi lips now, and I'm just as cool as you and Sam now."
"You don't have to do these things to be cool Riley, just be yourself." Sam smiled kindly.
"But Riley Matthews isn't cool. Sam Matthews and Maya Hart are!" While they were talking, I noticed a really cute guy sitting at the back. Never seen him before, so he must be new.
