Sam, Riley, and Maya were walking down the steps of their schools and into the school's main hall when Riley suddenly pulled the two to her.
"Look what's happening, look what's coming!" Riley said excitedly.
"Whats coming crazy?" Maya asked.
"It's too early for this Riley." Sam yawned as he stretched his arms over his head.
"Invitations...to the seventh grade parties. Its begun! We could be party girls. I'm going to need a party girl walk." Riley suddenly started to strut weirdly to display her walk.
"Yeah, that's not it." Maya said as she walked up to Riley.
"Way too early." Sam yawned.
"You know, there are going to be boys at these parties. And not just any boys, opposite-sex boys. They're the best kind."
"Yeah, you sound ready for this." Maya nodded her head sarcastically.
"Oh, I am. I will be the first girl to step from this side of the room to- oh who am I kidding, its going to be you." Riley sighed sadly.
"Yeah, its going to be me." Maya smiled.
"Your going to be popular, like Sam. You guys are going to rule the school, fall in love, get married, have beautiful kids that are going to be just as popular as you guys." Riley said sadly. Maya's eyes went wide and blushed.
"Riley!" Maya scolded, sending a side eye to Sam. She sighed in relief when she saw he was too tired to notice what Riley said. She was also kind of disappointed.
Sam's phone chimed, waking him up from his dream state. Maya saw him look at his phone, then put it away. "Look, Riley. I'm sure you'll figure out this whole 'party' thing, and know that being popular isn't everything." With that he started walking toward the exit.
"Easy for you to say! You're already popular, everyone loves you" Riley glared at her brother.
"They don't even know me Riles." Sam chuckled, Maya raised an eyebrow.
"And where are you going?" Maya asked. Sam smiled as he turned around at the doors.
"Thats a secret, love." Sam winked and took his leave.
Maya furrowed her brows, trying to piece together where Sam would go. "I don't like this Riley, he's keeping secrets. He never keeps secrets from me."
Riley looked at Maya weirdly. Seeing the look, Maya caught her mistake.
"Us. I mean us. I mean think about it, he's being all secretive and won't even tell us where he's going." Riley hummed and nodded her head.
"Your righ-" Riley was going to say she was right, but the weird hipster kid that was passing out invitations to the party came up to us. He stuck out the invitation to Riley, but she passed it over to me. Oh...this should be good.

Sam was about to go take someone's order when he heard his mother and brothers voice.
"Come on mommy, I want my muffin and my joke." Auggie whined.
"Ugh, Honey. It looks like Mrs. Svorski is busy right now. So why don't we go and find you a new favorite place?" Mom asked him. Sam saw she tried to pull Auggie with her, but he wasn't having it.
"I like this place. I like Mrs. Svorski."
"Auggie!" Sam turned and saw his boss Mrs. Svorski at the counter.
