Matthews (Sam)
"Hey honey, what's for breakfast?" Cory asked as he came out of the bathroom with a bathrobe and shaving cream on his face.
"Hey honey, what's for breakfast?" Auggie asked also with shaving cream on his face and a bathrobe.
"Sup." I came out as I was wiping the shaving cream off. Shaving felt nice, I was growing some stubble, and it was getting uncomfortable.
"Aww, Auggie is trying to be daddy's little man. And you honey? You shaved?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, I've been growing facial hair a lot easier now, it's kinda annoying. I blame you." I said as I looked at Dad.
"Hey, blame your grandfather." Dad defended.
"Come over here and give papa a smooch." Auggie said as he walked up to mom. I tried to hold in my laughter.
"Oh yeah, come over here and give papa a smooch." Dad said getting closer to mom.
"No, I am in the middle of a case, I have to be at the courthouse early and I really can't have shaving creeeam--" Auggie and dad rubbed their face all over mom. "Oh. All over my face."
"Nice Job." Auggie looked at Dad.
"Pleasure doing buisness with ya." They shook hands.
"Maya." The box buzzed. "Farkle."
I go to buzz them in, and see Riley come out with a happy smile.
"Those are my friends. I love my friends. It's a sunny day. I love a sunny day. I love my friends. I love my family. I love a sunny day. I even love going to school." Riley said as she hugged dad.
"Okay, what's going on with her?" Dad asked skeptically.
"She's just Riley dad. A big happy rainbow lives inside her." I smile as I hear her sigh happily.
"I'm in a good mood. This life thing? I think I got it down." Riley snapped her fingers.
Sam turned his head to see Maya and Farkle entering the house.
"Maya. Oatmeal." Mom said setting down a bowl.
"Oh, no thanks Mrs. Matthews." Oh oh.
"I wasn't asking." Mom said seriously.
"Yeow." Maya came and sat down next to me.
"Hey." I smile at her. Heartburn still ever so present.
"Hey, bub. What's that on your face?" She asked looking under my chin. I rub at the spot she is looking at with the towel hanging on my neck, and look at it.
"Oh, that's just shaving cream." I said as I ate my oatmeal.
"You shaved?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, why? It was starting to get itchy since I didn't shave in a couple of weeks. You didn't notice the hairs?" She shook her head.
"Yeah, well good luck buddy. Your going to have to start shaving every day when your older." Dad piped in.
"It's just weird imagining you shaving." Maya smirked.
"Why? I'm going to highschool next year. It's not so hard to believe." For some reason, Maya didn't say anything anymore.
"Ugh." Auggie said as he ran the oatmeal with his spoon.
"Just eat it please." Mom told him.
"Hey Augster. Guess what? Its googly time." I told him, trying to cheer him up.
