Yeri looked up at the sound of the office door opening. She was further surprised to see Jennie enter and walk toward her.

"Jennie! This is a surprise," Yeri greeted.

"I have some time. Thought I'd stop in and see if Jisoo has some time for lunch."

"She's on a site right now. I can call her if you'd like," Yeri offered.

Jennie waved her off. "That's okay. I'll just wait in her office for a while."

As Jennie was about to enter Jisoo's office, Yeri asked, "Where's Jinwoo?"

Jennie didn't know why, but her defenses went up. She turned slightly. "Why the third degree, Yeri?"

Yeri remembered how Jennie didn't like to be challenged. "I was just curious. We haven't seen him in a while. He must be getting so big now."

Jennie stepped back over to Yeri's desk, which was positioned between Jisoo's and Lalisa's. "Yeri, were we friends?"

Yeri wondered how to answer that question. They had been friends. Good friends when Jisoo and Lalisa started up the company together. Friends up until Jennie suspected Yeri and Jisoo had feelings for one another.

If she lied and said yes, Jennie would remember it when her memory returned. If she said no, Jennie would only ask more questions.

Answer her questions in broad terms, she remembered Jisoo told her.

"We were all friends when the company started up," Yeri told her.

It was the truth. Jisoo and Lalisa had been the best of friends. It was natural for Jennie and Yeri to also bond.

"And at the time of my accident?" Jennie probed deeper.

This was the Jennie Yeri was used to. The one who wanted answers and was up front about it. The Jennie that was very close to discovering her secret at the time of the accident.

"We didn't see much of one another. You had Jinwoo and other things going on."

Technically, that was true. Jisoo often wondered what Jennie did all day alone with Jinwoo. All Jennie tell her was she was busy.

Needing the cleaning service to keep up on the house as she didn't have that amount of time to devote it. If you wanted to talk to Jennie, you had to call her cell phone. She was rarely home.

"Interesting," was all Jennie said before turning and entering Jisoo's office.

Try as she might, Jennie could not get rid of that gut feeling that something wasn't what it appeared to be whenever she saw Yeri.

A half hour later, Yeri was on pins and needles. Lalisa had returned to the office and wasn't in a good mood. Yeri hoped she'd assume Jisoo's office was empty since Jennie had left the door open.

What did she do? Did she call Jisoo? Was it really her place?

Jennie walked around Jisoo's office. It seemed more a ranch style house than an office. Instead of bedrooms, there were offices for her and Lalisa, and smaller rooms for foremen to use.

There was also a full kitchen and a couple of small conference rooms in the building. Jennie felt familiar with the place, but couldn't feel spending much time here.

Jennie was looking out the window behind Jisoo's desk when she heard Lalisa's voice at Yeri's desk.

"When the hell is she going to get here?" Lalisa demanded.

"She's on the Dong site. It shouldn't be much longer." Yeri answered.

"Has she done anything with the government plans? I've had three messages this morning."
