I was at Ara door listening to their conversation. From what I could hear they had made up, if they hadn't they were working on it. But I also heard the part where they didn't believe me, that my story wasn't convincing. This wasn't working I was supposed to be getting on their good side.
Placing my ear against the door I caught Ara saying goodnight. Then footsteps, I sped out of there real fast. I didn't go far because Andrew opened the door. I caught a glimpse of his face he looked neither sad or angry. He turned to the right heading for his room. Dashing to my room. I can't believe I still remember where it is, it has been, what, more than two hundred years?
"Elana, love," I called to one of my servants.
"Your highness," She said coming to stand still in front of me.
"Can I get something to eat." She looked at me curiously, I nodded to her wrist to clear away her confusion. She extended her wrist and my fangs grew automatically, I started drinking. She started to become a dead weight, I had difficulty keeping her up so I could bleed her dry. After that, I didn't care I sighed and let her drop to the floor. Refreshing.
Pacing my room, trying to think about ways I was going to do this. I need to get Ara in a vulnerable position, but how? Already I had her asking herself if she really did love my brother. She had the question in her mind since the day I had asked her. But was it enough? This wasn't right I'm the oldest so the throne should go to me, and so should Ara. Andrew, my baby brother, was not meant to rule so soon. Father will help me, he never felt it right for Andrew to get the throne, thus never liking Ara for that particular reason. From the moment she came to this palace he had ordered Hunter to kill her.
I found my father in his room with Mother discussing something, they stopped when they heard me enter the room.
"How is my son?" Father questioned. My mother was smiling.
"Very well thank you," I answered. Then Klaus raised his eyebrows waiting to hear the reason why I was here. "Can I speak to you alone father?"
"Sure my boy, Elena will you excuse us?" Elena nodded respectively turned and made her way out the door. As soon as she closed it I spoke.
"Ara is already questioning her love for Andrew. But I don't see this going any further if I don't keep reeling her in." I told father. Klaus thought about this for a minute, pleased at what I had said but also perturbed.
"That's very good Desmond, I have an idea for the lovely Ara. As you know we are throwing a ball in honor of you, that you're back with us. You should dance with her get her mind off of Andrew, let her know that she has another choice. Tell her that you can give her what she wants." He had a sickly sweet smile on his face.
"What exactly does she want?" I questioned.
"She wants to see her family again," Father said simply. This was a great plan I only saw one thing wrong, weren't her parents dead?
"Isn't her family dead?" I asked. Father chuckled.
"No, I simply told Hunter to tell her that so she would want to die." Father picked up a cup of blood and offered it to me.
"No thanks, I've had my fill." Klaus downed it in one swallow.
"You should go to her tonight," Father said putting down the cup, blood stained his upper lip, he licked it away. "Have fun," His smile appeared again. I bowed leaving the room.
So Ara's family was still alive, that's interesting, very interesting. As far as I was told Ara had gone suicidal until she made that promise to Andrew that she would stop. He told Ara that she wasn't going anywhere without him ever.
