Sunday was the laziest day of the week for you. You rarely left your house (or your room for that matter) and your motivation to go out did not exist. You usually laid in bed for most of the day and ate only when you absolutely needed it. Sleep was more important than food - except when your stomach was too loud to ignore.

You were mindlessly watching TV and munching on chips when your phone buzzed around late afternoon. You were surprised to read the contact name - Kookie🍪. Your next door neighbor for the past three years had sent you a text.

Hey Y/n, whatcha doin? -Kookie🍪

Jungkook barely lived in his apartment; he was always travelling around the world for work. He was nice though and you liked to hang out with him on the rare occasions he was home.

Nothing, why? -Y/n

Wanna come over and do something? I got board games, movies, snacks... I'm extremely boreddd -Kookie🍪

Ok, give me a minute -Y/n

You scoff and the boy's insistence before looking in the mirror you outfit was good enough since you were only next door. You grabbed your keys and made your way to Jungkook's apartment.

You knocked two times before the door swung open to reveal a happily bouncing man. He looked and your sweat pants and messy hair before smiling like an excited 6-year-old.

"You came! I'm so happy you decided to come, I was so bored."

"Glad to know you missed me," you joked.

You allowed yourself inside and sat down on the couch.

"How come you asked me over and not your group members? You guys are so close." You were curious as to why he had chosen to hang out with you instead of the men he considered brothers.

"The boys are exhausted and it's not like I don't see them everyday. I hadn't seen you in a long time, and I thought it'd be nice to catch up."

You smile at the thought, Jungkook was a really thoughtful guy. You made yourself comfortable on his couch and waited for him to choose something to do.

Not even a minute passed before your impatience broke the silence, "So what are we going to do?"

"Um... how about rock paper scissors and the winner chooses what to do?" Jungkook suggested.

You roll your eyes and turn to face him.

"Ok, rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"

You stick out your fist and Jungkook sticks his hand out - rock to paper - you lose.

"Hehehe," Jungkook grins evilly, " I know what to do. Let's watch a movie."

You groan, he's bound to pick a scary movie. You had nothing against the genre, but it was dark outside and you got scared easily - you couldn't help but feel jumpy in the absence of light.

Jungkook quickly picks a movie and before you could protest, the screen flashed the words Train to Busan. You had never seen the film before, but you had heard it could make you scream or cry or both. You were curious, so you didn't fight Jungkook about it.

Fifteen minutes into the movie everything seemed normal enough, but then the zombies appeared. The graphics were a little much with all the blood, but it was getting interesting. However, you got a little too attached to the husband of the pregnant woman, and his sacrifice made you tear up. You were a full-on mess as the credits rolled up.

You looked to your side and saw a sniffling Jungkook trying to wipe his tears away.

"I didn't know you liked these kind of movies Kookie, I was expecting something like Insidious or Annabelle." You tease him.

He frowns. "Hey! Men can like action and horror but still be sentimental."

You coo, "Of course Kookie. Come on, let's watch something funny to cheer us up."

Jungkook got some snacks from the kitchen as you searched through the TV catalog and settled on a popular sitcom that usually made you laugh.

"Ooh, I like this one, these people are funny. Hurry up and sit down."

"Alright, calm down. Here, have some food." Jungkook offered you some chips and soda.

You stuffed your cheeks as Jungkook just stared at the screen entranced. You both laugh along to the dumb punchlines and goofy jokes coming from the TV. After some time, the show ended and you are both left smiling from contentedly.

"That was fun Y/n, I haven't been able to just relax and laugh for a long time. All these concerts and meetings have me all stressed out and tense." Jungkook tells you.

"It must be difficult being a celebrity 24/7 without getting much down time."

"Yeah, most days I wake up and I don't even remember what country I'm in or where I'm supposed to go. I do feel a sense of self-satisfaction and gratification when I see the positive impact we have on our fans, but sometimes the pressure is overwhelming."

You stared at Jungkook, he sounded so grown-up at such a young age.

"You've accomplished a lot in your lifetime Kookie, and your not even halfway done. Your fanbase is strong, your talent is indescribable, and the bond with your members is stronger than ever."

Jungkook gives you a small smile. "Thanks, Y/n, I really appreciate your company. I like spending time with you, you help me see all the positive sides of my life."

"Anytime Kookie, I'm always a door away."

"Yeah, you might be next door, but tomorrow I'll be a continent away again and who knows when we'll see each other again. It's too bad I could only spend one day with you."

"Don't worry about, but if you're leaving tomorrow I better get going - can't let an idol have bags under his eyes for his airport photos. Your fans wouldn't be too happy to see you looking like a zombie."

He chuckled and you headed towards the door.

He walked you out and before getting into your own home, you gave him a hug and wished him the best of luck for his upcoming tour. That kid was going places and you admired him for being so determined and hardworking - even when he felt overwhelmed. His fans adored him and the mutual regard made him work even harder.
