Tonight, Laurence asked me to come to his homecoming game since this was the biggest one of the season. Since I'm his girlfriend, I couldn't say no so here I am in my room, getting all dressed up. I decided to put on his favorite outfit of mine.

Which is a fitted brown long sleeved shirt tucked into my red mini skirt with black tights and light brown booties with a 3 inch heel. I curl my hair and brush it out so there isn't big chunks of curls and I let it fall to my waist. I apply red lipstick to my lips, two coats of mascara, a cat eyeliner, and a little bit of highlighter to my cheeks and nose.

Am I over prepping? Is the lipstick a little too much? No, stop it, this is your boyfriend, Aphmau. He loves you and you love him. Calm down. My phone buzzes and it's a text from Katelyn.

"Touchdown, baby!" A man yells as me, Katelyn, and Lucinda cover our ears because he practically screamed over us. Number 14 holds the ball in the air as the other team frustratedly got back in positions.

"You know, Laurence brags about being the best on the team, but he hasn't made a single touchdown." Lucinda comments. "Look like you got all dressed up for no reason."

"We still have five minutes of the quarter left. He has time."

"Well, you both know I could honestly care less about this game." Katelyn says. "Laurence is a shitbag. I don't understand how you're dating him in the first place."

"He's a lovely guy. And we've lasted all this time, what is making you doubt him all of a sudden?" Her eyes glance down to Lily doing her little cheerleading dance. Ugh, Lily Cordova.

"He dated THAT. We all know Lily's a spoiled brat and I heard that she wants him back. They were talking on Tuesday in chem class and she was really close and he wasn't pushing her back." Tuesday was the day Aaron invited me to the fair.

"So what? I know Laurence loves me and Lily is irrelevant to us now. We've already had this talk and he assured me that he doesn't like her anymore."

"Whatever," She rolls her eyes, "I want some more Gatorade."

"I'll go get it. I want one too." I suggest while stepping to the lanes of the bleachers.

"Are you sure you don't wanna watch your boyfriend make his touchdown? You seem so confident in it."

"No no I'll go get it for you. I'll be back." I start walking up the bleachers to the concession stands. Before I could step in line, I feel someone grab my hand and pull me away from the crowd to a dark area.

"Hey."

"What are you doing, Aaron?" I ask as I feel him take his hands off of me. "You know we shouldn't be back here like this." He has me backed against the wall.

"You look beautiful tonight." He pushes hair out of my face. "Has Laurence told you that tonight?"

"I haven't talked to him since we were at school." Aaron manages to bring his face closer to mine. "Why are you doing this?" Why am I doing this? I should've walked away a long time ago, even if he's in front of me.

"That's a no then. You've always looked beautiful, but damn." He brings one hand to my face. "Tonight, you really went out."

"Aaron, stop it. You know I'm with Laurence."

"You know you love it when I tease you." His thumb traces my bottom lip. "I remember when you first started wearing that shade. It was our first date and you knew my favorite color was red, so you borrowed your mom's lipstick. That night, you told me you wore it because you wanted to kiss me."

I know exactly where he was going with this. "I said stop it." I whisper.

"And we were the only ones in the theater. I knew that you wanted me to kiss you but I knew I wanted to kiss you too. So, I put my arm around you." He takes his thumb off my lip and he grabs my waist and pulls me against him. "And I kissed you. We were both excited and you kissed me back. You were wearing my favorite hoodie so that drove me crazy."

As sad as it sounds, I remember that night to every last detail. As he kissed me that night, he put his hand on my thigh because, again, the theater was empty. He slipped his tongue in, which surprised me but I let him anyway. We were two freshmen who didn't have a clue what love was, but we were sure we loved each other.

I remember pulling away because I was super shy since that was my first kiss. He was smiling at me because that was his first kiss too. Then we continued to watch the movie, he walked me home, kissed me again at the doorstep (No tongue because my mom is crazy) and we texted the entire night.

Back to present now. Aaron was super close to me now. I need to push him away but something about him reminding me of our first date. Ughhh this boy drives me crazy. I notice a crowd starting to walk towards their cars.

"Oh my Irene, I missed it!" I push Aaron off of me and start running out of the corner and out of the stadium. I told Katelyn and Lucinda that I was riding home with Laurence so I start running towards his car.

Then I see something I didn't want to. Laurence was in the car with another girl. This girl was wearing a light blue bow in her hair and she had long dark brown hair and it's in a sleek ponytail. There is only one girl with that style tonight.

Lily Cordova. I keep watching to see what happens, if what he meant was true. Then he connects lips with her. And boy, did that hurt. He sticks his tongue into her mouth and she's just going along with it.

I can feel the tears running down my face now. I know me and Aaron were just in that position, but I wouldn't kiss him. Because I wouldn't do that to Laurence. But the fact that he'd do it to me really really stung. I can't help but watch Lily pull him against her and he's just going along with it.

"Aph?" I turn my head to see Aaron. By his expression, he sees what I saw. "Do you need a ride home?" I don't answer him. Instead, I wipe my tears and I turn around to walk in the other direction.

Such a fucking bastard.
