|Story One| Does Perfect Exist?

It's almost ten pm so me and Aaron stand in line for the ferris wheel since it's my favorite ride out of the entire fair. "Are you cold?" Aaron asks me when he notices I have my arms wrapped around me.

"I'm fine." I respond. He rolls his eyes while shaking his hand and smiling. "What?"

"You're not fine. You hate the cold." He starts taking off his hoodie. Once he pulls it over his head, he hands it to me. "Here."

"Why if you get cold?"

"Aph, take the jacket. You know you want it." I huff and start pulling it over me, it hitting almost to my knees. The sleeves roll off my hands and over them.

"Thank you." I stuff my hands into the pockets and we wait to move in line.

"Well, I wasn't expecting this." Me and Aaron turn around to see Laurence and Lily in line behind us. "Hey, Aph."

"Hi..." I turn back around so I don't face them but Aaron does.

"What are you doing here, Laurence?"

"On a date." He responds while pulling Lily closer to him. "What are you guys doing here?"

Aaron puts an arm around my waist, "We're on a date as well. I thought I could show her how a guy really should treat a girl." I start blushing as Laurence scoffs.

"I knew you still liked her. Sucks she dumped you for me last year." That's not true. I didn't even know Laurence when I was dating Aaron.

"That's not true." I lean against Aaron, "I've liked him the entire time." He looks down at me and tightens his grip on me.

"You're joking. You're saying that because Aaron's just talking to talk."

"Am I?" Am I? I don't know. Aaron turns us around away from Laurence and Lily and we move up in line.

The operator checks our wristbands and he attends us onto the carrier. I sit down while Aaron shuts and locks the door then sits down next to me. "Did you mean what you said to Laurence back there?"

"Which part?"

"You've liked me the entire time?" Do I? I mean, he IS a better guy than Laurence, but I don't want that to be the only reason. "Meaning you liked me during your relationship with Laurence." The ferris whe starts moving, catching us off guard.

"Maybe I did." I respond as we reach the top then roll back to the bottom. "Maybe I didn't."

"Oh come on, babe. Gimme an answer."

"I did answer the question." We roll back to the top and we stop.

"Fine, since you wanna be difficult." He pulls me closer to him and starts tickling me. I burst out laughing and trying to move, but Aaron only moved with me, still tickling. "Do you like me or do you not like me?"

"Aaron, have mercy!" I say in between breathes but he doesn't stop. "I gave you an answer!"

"You gave me a half-assed answer." He corrects me. "This could all end if you just tell me." He goes for my armpits, making me a giggly mess.
