"What?" Katelyn looks in the same direction as Aphmau. "I don't get it. It's just another group."

"No, Kate, it's the guy who flirted with me at Doug's a few days ago. He brought his friend along too." Aphmau keeps her eyes on Aaron, who's helping another women with her banner. "Look at him. Trying to hit on other girls at a march." She crosses her arms and huffs, "Typical."

"Are you jealous?"

"What do I have to be jealous of? I barely know the man."

"That doesn't mean you can't be jealous." Katelyn says, "And I don't blame you. He's fine as hell." Aaron looks over at Aphmau first then the woman looks up and Aphmau turns away to stop facing them.

"Are you done now? That lady said we have ten minutes and we're only wasting time." She walks past Katelyn and towards the group of women getting ready for the march.

"She's totally jealous."

Aaron looks up from painting and spots Aphmau looking over at him. He puts the paintbrush down flat on the banner, "Wow."

The woman beside him looks up to see what's distracting him. "So she's why you're here." She says. "Is she your girlfriend?"

"I wish." He responds and Aphmau looks away and speaks to her friend. "I met her a few nights ago... I was a bit forward with her."

"Define forward." Aaron tells the woman everything. How he felt with he first saw her, when he first spoke to her and how she dissed him and walked away. "Oh wow."

"My friend, over there." He points to Laurence who is talking with another woman while helping her with her banner as well. "He thought it was a good idea to join the march so I could show her I actually want a chance with her."

"You should go speak to her." She suggests, "Like right now."

"Are you sure you don't need help?"

She laughs, "Honey, I was fine before you came along. Now go get your girl before I do." She says, "I'll do it."

"Okay okay, I'm going." He hands her the paintbrush and he stands up, dusting cement rocks off of his pants. He spots Aphmau working on her sign alone. He sighs and starts making his way towards her.

As he starts walking over, she looks up and sees him, but looks back down at her banner and continues to paint on it. He finally reaches over to her, "Do you need some help?"

She looks back up at him, "Umm I think I'm fine. Thanks for asking." She gets back to painting. Aaron looks back at the woman and she motions for him to continue talking to her.

"I'm sorry about the other night." She puts her paintbrush down and looks up at him. "I should've taken things slower than I did."

"It's okay, the past is in the past." She stands up and picks the banner. "Have you only come to apologize? You don't strike me as a protest type of man."

"I also came because I do want to get to know you." She laughs and rolls her eyes. "And yes, our first encounter wasn't... perfect, but I do want to try."

She looks down from him, "I appreciate you coming all the way here to apologize, that's very nice of you."

"But." She looks back up at him. "I just got out of an engagement a few weeks ago and I am not ready to look for anything like that."

"Oh."

"Yeah. I'm sorry."

"Hey, dude." The woman Aaron was with walks over and stands next to him, "Is this the girl you were talking about earlier?"

"What are you doing?" He whispers to her.

"I heard the conversation, I'm trying to give you an advantage." She whispers before speaking to Aphmau again. "He was speaking the world about you when he was helping me with my banner."

"Oh really? Like what?"

"He couldn't stop raving over how beautiful of a woman you are. And he clearly isn't lying." Aphmau's face becomes red right along with Aaron's. "Before you answer too quickly, I think you should give him a chance. He seems crazy about you." She pats him on the back before walking away again.

"I'm sorry about her. I don't know what she was thinking."

"It's alright." She says, "I better get going before they call for my group." She turns around to leave.

"Before you go." He speaks before she could move any farther, "Do you think I have a chance with you?"

She crosses her head but gives him a small smile. "A compliment won't win me over, Mr. Lycan. You're going to have to try harder than that." She maintains her smile but then walks back to her group, leaving Aaron to stand there.

"It'd be worth it." He grins to himself.
