Chapter Eight

When Jacob woke up, he wasn't with the Wendigo anymore, he wasn't in the woods either.

He was laying in a hospital bed, bandages were wrapped around his chest, and stomach, a nurse walked in.

"Good morning Jacob." She said.

"H-how do you know my name?" Jacob asked.

"The man who called about you said your name, when we talked to him."

"W-what man?" Jacob asked. "What d-did he look like." 

"No one really knows, during the interview he stayed in the shadows, and talked in a low voice, he said take good care of him, then walked off." 

"Oh, ok." Jacob said.

"Why, did you know him?" The nurse asked.

"N-no, I don't" Jacob said.

The rest of the day was just doctors visits, and a few meals, and at noon, he was taken to an orphanage, for him to stay in temporally.
