chapter 10

kth POV

It's lunch and me and gina met up and walked to the cafeteria together.

we both noticed jeongguk and his friends occupying a whole table as we grabbed our food and headed to an empty one a bit far from theirs.

"wanna go over there?" I asked gina nodding my head towards jeongguk's table as we took a seat and she shook her head violently.

"no way, baby steps." she laughed and so did I.

"yeah I'd be scared to join them even if it was just me." I said as opened my chip bag and popping one into my mouth.

"how come? Aren't you guys close friends?" she asked and I shrugged

"well yeah but he's currently been making more friends recently so I have to get used to sharing my time with him yknow? hope that doesn't make you want to change your mind about hanging around me." I winked and she just chuckled.

"no I'm not shallow. I don't mind just hanging out with you since either way, I make a friend." she smiled friendly and so did I.

honestly, it's kinda tough how little time jeongguk and I have had together lately. The last thing i want is become awkward with him and just have this secret of him being supernatural without actually being around him anymore. I hope he comes back to namjoon, jin hyung and I soon. but in the meantime, I might as well enjoy myself too.

hoseok and a couple of his friends came and sat by us along with a couple of gina's friends too.

gina and I looked at each other in confusion but we both just shrugged and laughed as we all socialized together.

this is quite refreshing actually. I feel like a new friend group is forming and I'm really excited about it.

I turned my head and coincidentally met eyes with jeongguk.

I smiled and waved at him but he looked away right after.

I furrowed my brows. is he alright? maybe he didn't see me. Whatever, I'm having a good time, I don't my overthinking to ruin my mood.

it's 7th period, my last class of the day and i couldn't be more excited about it. Finally!! It's almost the end of the day!!!

I took my seat as other students also took their seats. In every class I always sit next to the window just so I can look at something nice and daze off.

I almost forgot, this is the only class I have with jeongguk. I'm nervous about it for some reason since I've become more aware of his distance but I'm going to try to not let that show.

I was sitting in the far back by the window as he took a seat in the far back on the opposite side of the room.

we made eye contact again and I smiled and waved. he smiled faintly and nodded his head.

well I guess that's better then him ignoring me. I shrugged to myself and averted my gaze to the teacher as class finally started to begin.

after a class that felt like an eternity long, the bell finally rang and everyone started to pack their things.

I took my time and put my things into my back pack. as I stood up and swung my backpack behind my back I almost bumped into jeongguk. My eyes widened as he stood and front of me and smiled. I smiled back as I adjusted my bag strap.
