kth POV

another couple weeks have gone by and jeongguk and I still haven't brought up that moment we had a while back in my room. Where I was an idiot and said 'iD bE SAd iF yOu fOuNd uR mAte' or some shit like that.

we kind of just ignored it and hang out like normal.

but he's been gradually gaining more attention from everyone nowadays, especially girls. all thanks to me, that lucky bastard.

he's less of an intimidating asshole and is actually conversing with people and smiling more often. in a way I'm a bit sad ahaha. it's like he was our little secret but not anymore. oh well yknow. it's for the better.

it's an early school morning and I yawned with my arms stretched out while I took my seat at my desk. I usually always show up a bit early since it's so close to home so I just chill in my first period class as I look outside the window and watch everyone slowly roll in from below me.

I continued to watch students come for a few minutes and noticed in the distance that jeongguk was walking towards school with about 5 other friends, laughing. I couldn't help but wince at the sight of that.

tsk, mr. popular huh? why do I even feel annoyed? I should be happy for him. he's been suffering all by himself up until recently. I should really cut him some slack. jeez, why am I being like this. I continued to watch them get closer and I was able to get a better look at him.

he's laughing so genuinely. and smiling.

I smiled to myself bitterly.

he doesn't laugh like that around namjoon, jin hyung, and I like that. or at least, he hasn't for a while. gahhh I need to chilll!!!! I'm just going to ignore these annoying feelings of mine! it's definitely nothing I should worry about.

"yah taehyung!" someone yelled and slammed their hands into my desk to get my attention, making me flinch violently.

"w-what! oh hoseok, what is it?! you scared me!" I smacked his arm and he just continued to laugh.

he finally catches his breath and says, "who do you keep staring at out there?"

"no one in particular, just watching. why?" I totally lied but it sounded believable.

"ohh for a second I thought you had your eyes on the new and improved jeongguk. aren't you guys friends now?" hoseok asked as he pulled the chair by the front of my desk towards me and sat down.

"ahaha yeah, we just figured out we had a lot in common I guess." I said even though that was totally not the reason why. we became friends because I wouldn't stop nagging him lol.

"oh wow that's kinda impressive. well judging by the looks of it, he's a lot more popular now huh? kinda sick!" he said and I laughed.

"even though you guys said you were friends, it almost seems like I haven't seen you with him around school at all lately." hoseok scratched his head and I just sighed.

"yeah but I don't blame him. I mean not even that long ago he was a silent person that everyone was scared to talk to. now look at him! I have to say, it wouldn't have happened without me. I take pride in that!" I said with my chin up and crossed my arms as hoseok chuckled.

"ahaha right. oh! also spring break is coming up soon! what are you planning on doing?" hoseok asked with a lit up face.

"oh well, hmm... oh yeah! my brother is probably going to come back from college. and I don't know with the rest, I may just hang out with friends whenever they are free." I said.

"oh cool! I forget you have a sibling sometimes. anyway, well if you don't have plans, a couple of friends of mine are going bowling with some girls from north. we want the numbers to be even so everyone has a partner, you should come if you get the chance!" hoseok said and I smiled. that does sound like fun. It's been a while since I've hung out with anyone outside of my close friend group.
