As Emma arrived home,she ran straight to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of milk. Then she walked downstairs to her bedroom anxiously to check her account. She grabbed her laptop off her desk and sat on her bed and logged in. There were 4 new messages. She clicked on them and they were from the same guy who texted her a few days ago,Luke.
Luke: Hey :)
Luke: Hey? Are you gonna answer :(
Luke: Emma are you ok?
Luke: What's wrong!? I need to know if your alright..
Emma felt her stomach drop and she began to feel nervous. She quickly typed back:
"Hey I was in the hospital for a few days,I'm okay now,thanks for checking on me! :)"
Then Emma logged off and layed in bed for a few minutes thinking.
"Emma! Come here for a second.." Yelled Emma's mom.
Emma hurried upstairs and said "yes?"
Emma's mom was sitting on the couch watching the news channel.
"Sit down for a second..take a look at this." Said Emma's mom.
Emma sat down on the couch and started watching the news. It was saying stuff like "young high school girl Ill in the hospital from a drug overdose,and blah blah blah" Emma's mouth dropped and she said "but mom! I can't go back to school! People are gonna think I'm crazy!" Emma's mom just shook her head and started to get teared up. "Emma sweetie,do you think you wanna be homeschooled? I think it would be the best suggestion for you."
Emma got excited and replied with "Yes! That would be awesome!" Emma was just thinking yay, More time on her laptop!
Emma's mom grinned and said "alright,we can start that next week!"
