Chapter 3: Bad News

Emma awakened by the sound of beeping noises,and the smell of a hospital room. She couldn't really see straight or tell what exactly was going on. She heard a few voices asking "Emma are you alright?!" Emma just shook her head and asked "what happened,why am I here?" Everyone kinda frowned and Emma's mom said "late last night I went to check on you,and you weren't breathing,the doctors have done a few tests on you and they still can't figure out exactly what happened,and if there's anything running in your blood. Do you think you might know what happened?" Emma shook her head no. She was thinking in her head,she lied,she knew that she shouldn't have taken those pills,and then lie about not 'knowing' what happened. She was hoping it would have just ended her life,but it didn't...The doctor knocked on the door and walked in and smirked. Emma's mom said "well..? Do you have any news?!" The doctor pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket. He read "the tests came back negative,there is a lot of overdosed medicine in Emma's blood stream. She's gonna have to stay here for about 2 more days till we can get it a cleared out. But for the mean time every other guest is gonna have to find somewhere else to stay,we only allow immediate family in the patients room." Everyone but Emma's mom cleared out of the room,and the doctor walked out. "Now Emma,did you take any medicine?" Asked her mom. Emma frowningly said "my chest hurt really bad and I wanted medicine,I took 3 pills.." Emma's mom said "Next time tell me! That could've been the end of your life!! And if you would have told me we wouldn't be here right now! You cost me a lot of extra money that I don't need to be spending!" Emma rolled her eyes and asked "mom can you please get out? I need some time alone." Emma's mother walked out of the room. Emma started thinking to herself 'ugh! Well I'm missing 3 days of school so I guess that's good! But 3 days without my laptop!? What if that guy on my account texts me?!' She started getting nervous and asking herself all these questions. All she's gonna have to do is wait until she gets home to see.
