Chapter 2: Finding a Friend

After school as Emma was walking home she stumbled across a large group of her classmates. "what are you guys doing here?!" Asked Emma. The group giggled and one boy replied "what does it matter to you? Keep walkinggg." Emma continued to walk and she heard people saying "don't trip shortie." She just wanted to get home to where she would be safe. She quickly ran home. As she arrived her mom called "Emma,what took you so long? I told you to get home by 3:30,it's 4:00!" Emma looked down and said lying "I know mom,I just..just had to bring something to one of my classes after school.." Emma let out a deep breath. "Would you like a bowl of soup?" Asked Emma's mother. "No thanks" replied Emma. Emma walked downstairs to where her bedroom was at,she crawled up in bed and decided to lay down. "Ugh I'm so fat,ugly,and stupid,no wonder everybody hates me,I even hate myself so I don't blame them" she thought in her head. Just then she remembered to grab her laptop. She logged into her account. It said 1 new message! She clicked on it and it said "hey gorgeous😉" Emma's eyes opened wide in surprise and and she clicked on his name. His page was on private and so she just replied with "what a creep. Go away!" It said read but he never replied. That night around sunset Emma felt bad and logged back on and typed back saying "excuse me,I'm so sorry for being rude earlier,I wasn't in a great mood,some stuff happened after school. Did you need something?😌" He didn't reply. Emma brushed her teeth,got dressed and then went back in her bed,her computer was charging so she wasn't on it. She thought to herself "ugh he's probably really cute and nice but I ruined it! I ruin everything! The one person that actually gives me a compliment and all I do is tell them to leave me alone! I'm so stupid" She felt a rush of pain in her chest. It was so excruciating that she almost couldn't breath. She didn't tell her mom. She snuck up stairs and tried getting some medicine,it didn't have a label on the bottle,but she decided to take 3 of the pills. She ran back downstairs into her bed. She closed her eyes and went to sleep..
