I sprint upstairs and grab a blue medium sized duffel bag from the hallway cupboard. I can only hope it'll be big enough to fit everything I need. I go into my room and grab stuff to throw in the bag; a photo of my parents, clothes, toiletries, more clothes, a blanket and a pillow.
After I have grabbed everything from upstairs I venture downstairs to finalise my packing. I grab food and water which should last a week and $1000 from my aunt and uncles money jar. If they find out its missing they will kill me, but it's worth the risk.
I have no car, but I do have my licence. I grab the keys to my uncles jeep (he uses a different one for work) and drive.
I have no idea where I'm going but I just keep driving. Before I know it I'm passing the "Thanks for visiting Arizona!" sign and then I know exactly where to go, where I'll feel safe even thought nothing good has come of that place.
The crash site back in California.
Authors note: hi all :) sorry that the first few chapters are a bit short, all the ones from here will be longer x
