Keli's POV

I rubbed the goosebumps on my arms, I didn't go to bed with the window open and now it stood wide open.

I got up and shut the window, staring out of it for a second. The wind couldn't be that strong, could it?

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Popping some toast in the toaster, I grabbed a box that was left on the table. I unpacked it and set the plates and cups in the cabinets.

The house was still full of boxes to unpack, but you know, I'm to lazy to do it. The thing I really need to do is find a job in town. I wonder if there's any openings down at the supermarket.

I buttered my toast and walked into the living room. I opened the curtain and looked outside. For some apparent reason, I expected that boy to be standing there again, but instead a woman walking her dog passed by.

That is what I want to do today, I want to get a job and get a pet. A pet store was just down passed the supermarket, which I don't know why cause there's only a few people living around here.

I went back upstairs and jumped into the shower. After I was done, I blow dried my hair and brushed my teeth. I went to my closet and put on a pair of jean shorts and a black lace tank top. I went back into the bathroom and braided my hair.

I grabbed my purse and walked over to the door. Slipping on my black sneakers, I opened the door just as Trevor walked up the steps.

"Hey Trevor, what are you doing here?" I asked, while locking the door.

"Well, my boss was telling me about this girl who had bought one of the biggest houses in town and I realized it was you, so I wanted to come say hi." He said, I smiled.

"So, where are you going today?" He asked.

"It's was going to go look for a job." Trevor smiled.

"There's an opening for the night shift at the store with me."

"Oh, getting paid for doing nothing, that sounds like something I would be good at." He laughed.

"We can go down there and check it out." He said. I nodded and walked down the steps.

"Let's just drive down there, only take like thirty seconds." I laughed, unlocking my car. Trevor smiled and got in the passenger side. I drove down the street and into the supermarket parking lot.

"Gosh, it's busy during the day isn't it?" I asked him. He laughed and smiled.

We walked into the store and Trevor lead me towards the side of the store. He knocked on the managers door and dragged me in with him.

"Why hello Trevor, what are you doing here?" The man from behind the desk asked, smiling at us.

"This is my friend Keli, she wanted to apply for the night duty with me." I let out a little giggle, he said duty. Trevor bumped me with his hip.

"Well a brave one who would do that, can just have the job." He smiled at me. I smiled wide at him and shook his hand.

"Thank you," I looked at his name tag "Mr. Matthews." He smiled.

"Your welcome, Keli. I'll see you later." Trevor guided me out of the office and out of the store.

"Now, I shall go to the pet store. You want to come?" I asked Trevor. He laughed.

"Sure, wouldn't want you to get lost." I rolled my eyes and got into the car.
