While Dylan and Brian were on their way to Las Vegas, Matthew was still in Portugal. He was taken to a penthouse in the city of Lagos. When he arrived, two guards carried him to a room and threw him to the floor. As they stood back, Matthew sat up, unaware of where he was. He then looked around and saw shelves filled with old artifacts and priceless jewels sparkling in the light. He was astonished by the beauty of these artifacts. But who would keep a collection of all of these treasures?"Breathtaking, aren't they?" said a voice. Matthew turned around and saw a tall, middle-aged man wearing a smoking jacket standing in the doorway of his office.
"Yeah. Are all of these yours?"
"Every single one. Now, I know what you're thinking, and the answer is no, these are not phonies. They are as real as God." The man gestures to him to come forward. "Come."
Matthew followed the man into his office where more jewels are on display. The man went to his desk and sat in his leather-bound chair. "You know...I've been looking forward to meeting you, Mr. Squires."
"You've heard of me?"
"Of course. You're quite a celebrity. Being one of Benjamin's best agents."
"Thanks. Uh, sir? I don't wanna be rude, but who are you?"
"Ah, yes. Where are my manners? The name's Watson Worthbucks."
Matthew's eyes widened. "Worthbucks? As in "Wallet" Worthbucks? The world's biggest treasure hunter?"
"The one and only," Watson says as he pours himself a glass of scotch.
"I thought I recognized you. You go around the world collecting old jewels that no one can find, right?"
"Yeah, that's me."
"So, is this all the jewels you've collected?"
"'All'? Why, this isn't even half of it. I have over 200,000 collections including one in New York, Milan, and Paris."
"Wow. You must have every jewel on the planet."
"Yes, everyone...except the most valuable, priceless, most beautiful jewel in the world: the Blue Diamond." Watson points to an empty case reserved for the Diamond.
"...so, you're looking for it, too."
"Indeed, and I've searched every land and every city to find it...only to turn up short every time." Watson drinks his scotch and sets the glass back down. "I wanted to give up. Throw in the towel. That is until one of my boys informed me of a map of the Amazon rainforest yesterday."
"'Map'?" Matthew thinks for a moment and realizes that Watson was talking about the paper. The same paper he gave to Dylan.
"My boys say that you took it."
Matthew heard the guards walking towards him from behind. "I'm sorry, but I don't have a map."
"Is that so? Because my boys say that you took the map and gave it to your brother." The two guards were now towering over him. "Now, Matthew..." Watson stands up from his chair and leans down to where they were at eye level. "...we don't have to do this the hard way. So, why don't you be a good agent and tell me where the map is."
"Look, man...I don't have it."
Watson smiled and sat back in his chair. "Alright, Matthew. I believe you." With that, the man snaps his fingers, giving the guards the permission to grab and tie up Matthew. "Take him away," he ordered. "And find his little brother and bring him to me."
"No! If you do anything to him..." Matthew tries to pull away, but one guard pushes him to the ground.
"Don't worry, Mr. Squires. We won't hurt him. We'll see if he has the map first."
